Tis the season for brightly lit Christmas trees! When I was a kid I was always very fascinated with Christmas trees and the pretty baubles that hang on them.

TNB Screwed Up My Day
OK. Maybe it's not entirely their fault. I awoke in the dead of night (more like wee hours of morning) feeling warm and uncomfortable. My air-conditioner had stopped running and my room was dark and deathly quiet.

Crispy and Crunchy Fried Chicken
I was very naughty and I made some buttermilk fried chicken again. Why are you not surprised? And you ask, was the buttermilk fresh or expired?

My Auntie's Beauties
My auntie sent me more photos of her gorgeous roses. Wow. They took my breath away. Roses must be the most beautiful flowers that God created (in my humble opinion).

Critters in My Garden
Sometimes when I am in the garden, I get into National Geographic mode. When I see insects such as this dragonfly, I quickly make a run for my phone to snap a pic.

Dinner with the Parents
After our curry mee/wanton mee lunch, before we knew it, it was time for dinner. I thought it would be nice to revisit Simply Ribs. My brother and I enjoyed the food and I reckon my mum and dad would too.

Christmas Roast Chicken : Episode 2
So how, can ah? To be honest with you, I find angmoh style roast chicken not very exciting in terms of flavor.

Lazy To Cook
One week day, I was very hungry and there wasn't any cooked food in the fridge. I am one of those people who cannot bear the thought of cooking after work. I just can't do it.

Preview : Christmas Roast Chicken. Why So Pale, Ah?
My roast chicken do not turn out well all the time. Sometimes, they look like this one. Gordon Ramsay would yell "What in the bloody hell is that, Madam???!!!"

The Cat Still Doesn't Like Me
After our lunch at Annie-1, I took my parents for a short walkabout at The Starling. My brother and I had something planned in our heads. There was something we wanted. Something that is very bad for our waistline.

Ladies, Do You Like This Sort of Thing?
There is this shop at The Starling that I have been stalking since day one. Every now and then, I walk in to look-see-look-see and put some of the items on my wishlist in my head. Then I walk over to Daiso (just opposite) to see if I can spot something just as nice for RM5.90.

What?? Big Breakfast Again???
This is another outing with my parents. Initially we planned to visit 2nd Floor Kitchen & Bar@TTDI because I was so impressed after reading Kris' review. But alas, we could not get parking even after going a few rounds. So we gave up.

Not Quite Baked Ziti
I used to love the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. On the show, Raymond lives next door to his parents. To make him visit, his mother would lure him with her cooking, much to his wife Debra's annoyance.

Cheddar Biscuits So Good I Ate Eight
After messing up my first batch of Cheddar Biscuits, I was determined to perfect it. After all, I still had slightly more than a cup of buttermilk left in the fridge.

My Cheddar Biscuits Disaster
This is what Americans call biscuits. Why do you call this muffin-like thing biscuits? Over here in Malaysia, biscuits refer to crackers, those flat crunchy things.

I never knew about Family Mart until I read about this Japanese convenience store from TM's blog. Fast forward a few months later I walked to my regular Cosway stockist only to discover that they have closed down.

Mocha Ice Cream : No Churning Required
No churn ice cream. It seemed too good to be true. I have heard about it, read about it, but I was not convinced.

I Miss Yu
This is me eating again. Even an errand to the bank can give rise to an excuse to drop by somewhere to stuff my face. Walking past Yu Noodle House, I decided to revisit.

Cauliflower Nasi Goreng Kampung
Not even Nasi Goreng Kampung is spared the cauliflower treatment, eh? heh..heh..heh... Why not, right? It so happened that I spied some fresh cauliflower at Jaya Grocer and an idea entered my mind. Nasi goreng!

My Beefy Mee Goreng
Much as I love beef, I have never cooked it with noodles. I have had beef kway teow/beef noodles at the restaurant and I love it, but at home, nah...never tried.

Dating at Chilis Again
When we don't know where to go, we always end up at Chilis which is not a bad thing at all. True true, the food is not to my lahling's taste but he knows that I love Chilis. Ah, such sacrifice! hee..hee..hee...

Roasted Broccoli and Tomato Salad
Last weekend when I put on my "slim" pants, I was quite alarmed that it was very tight at the waist. Same thing with the thigh, there was much less room than before. Losing weight is relatively easy but it is maintenance that is the killer.

Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries
I baked these not because I think they are healthier than regular fries. It was just a case of curiosity. So are they crispy? Are they yummy ? Are they better than french fries? No, yes and maybe.

Cauliflower Fried Rice
Nowadays, when I cook fried rice, I add grated cauliflower so that (1) I eat less rice and (2) I still get to taste some real rice when I eat Cauliflower Fried Rice.
