My partner organized a birthday dinner for me on our date night and a few very close family members joined us. We went to S.Wine@Tropicana City Mall (non-halal).
I have been here a few times and I love the food. And the most important thing is that the food also ngam my partner.
There were 6 of us and we each ordered a main meal (except for the lovey dovey young couple who shared theirs) and a Whole Slab BBQ Ribs with Chips and Slaw to share.
First to be served was the young couple's Traditional Carbonara. The smell of the cheese was enough to make me dizzy.
But young people seem to adore carbonara pasta with the (smelly, to me) Parmesan cheese.
Next, for the strapping young man, the Roasted Pork Belly. It looked very good.
And then my partner's Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chops.
The soup reminded me of the chap fan soup at Home Kitchen but it had a very strange taste.
There was another birthday auntie in our group and she chose to have the Miso Pork.
There was quite a lot of rice served and she could not finish it.
And finally, Madam's Thai Style Grilled Pork Neck.
Quite a small portion if you ask me. Luckily we ordered the ribs for sharing.
I think a big eater could easily finish this by himself or herself. Ahem!
The young lady paid the bill. Many thanks dear, for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
We did not order desserts as we adjourned to Baskin-Robbins where her young man treated us to scoops of ice cream. Many thanks to you too, young man!
Well, that was certainly a very happy birthday treat :)
