Don't Worry. Auntie Can Eat.

You know, I still eat a lot. But not as much as I used to. But by normal standards, I am still a big eater.

It was one of the Friday evenings when we could not secure a seat at Chili's due to the buka puasa (breaking fast) crowd. So we made our way to Isetan Eat Paradise.

Pumpkin Gula Melaka Cheesecake

Remember my burnt pumpkin kueh? Well, the first batch of the tasteless pumpkin puree went into this cheesecake. Although overall I was happy with this cheesecake, what was missing was the natural creamy sweetness of pumpkin.

Esquire Kitchen, 1 Utama

A long time ago, Esquire Kitchen@Atria Damansara Jaya was a favorite dinner venue for my partner and I. We loved the food and every time we visited, we would have 4 bowls of rice each. Yes, 4 bowls of rice each hah...hah....

One day my partner made meat patties. "Come, come, try! Nice or not?". His meat patties were nicely browned and smelled really good. And it tasted pretty good too.

Korean Eggplant Banchan

This is another recipe that I tried from Maangchi and I loved it! Eggplant (or brinjal) is one of my favorite vegetables. There is one eggplant dish that I love at Chinese restaurants. I don't know what it is called. It is fried with minced pork.

Kueh Bakar Terbakar : My Burnt (And Tasteless) Bingka Labu

Begedil Tauhu Goreng

You know, I had no idea of the existence of Begedil Tauhu until Kris blogged about it. Where have I been? It has been years since I visited a Ramadan bazaar for the very reason that there is no longer one at Damansara Uptown. The last  Ramadan bazaar at Damansara Uptown was way back in 1990!

Spicy Cucumber Banchan

The other day while watching some videos on Youtube, I was reminded of Maangchi when one of her videos popped up on my watch list. Hey! I love this Korean lady and there was a time when I tried her fried chicken but that was as far as I went. Fried chicken and only fried chicken.

These Old Bones Can't Sit Japanese Style

I am back! Sooner than expected. It was getting boring. These days, I don't enjoy time off very much. Too many things spinning in my head I guess.

Hangry and Pissed Off

This is a bad Saturday. But it started out good on Friday (except the Godzilla movie. Bleagh). I have been reading and craving about Ipoh food on Claire's and Nancy's blog. So if I could experience Ipoh food in my neighborhood, why not, eh?
