One of my favorite snacks which I have not eaten in a long long time is pickled mangoes. Gosh, I love those! The best ones are made using a variety of mangoes which is know locally as "pauh".

I was taking a walk one day when I spotted this restaurant which occupied what used to be Pizza Craft.

My Noodles Week
I have been eating a lot of carbs. Loads! It looks like my low carb diet has been derailed and I have been enjoying stuffing my face with noodles for lunch the whole week.

A Vietnamese Dinner Date
After my lei cha lunch and because I am the boss of me, I went to the movies. After all it was a Friday. Time to chill out people!

An Unexpected Date At Boon's
A few Saturdays ago, after I dropped dad's stash of frozen porridge at my brother's house, I left with my partner with the intention of going home to clean my house.

My New Favorite Vege
Every time I want to make a salad, I would usually buy the pre-washed lettuce/salad greens from the supermarket. After a while, those greens became sort of boring.

Battle of the Lei Cha
After having my first taste of Lei Cha at Judy's@A Foodie's Nest, I wanted to have it again. I was feeling guilty after having indulged in too much chee yok fun hee...hee...

Penne Goreng Pedas
I have lots of pasta in my pantry and I have been cooking them local style. They are quite versatile and as I understand it, the noodles used in Laksa Johor is spaghetti.

My Awesome Dhall Curry
Blowing my own trumpet again, eh? heh..heh....I finally cooked a nice dhall curry that I could share on this blog. In fact, this dhall curry was cooked half way the week before and completed last weekend. Why on earth did it take two days?

When I Want To Eat Healthy
Ever since stepping foot into Goodness Greens Cafe@TTDI, I am sort of hooked. I like the idea of eating healthy food which actually taste really good.

I remember cooking this one pot savory rice way back in 2014 after I was discharged from the hospital. It's one of my favorite dishes as it is not only easy to cook but really so delicious it makes for a very satisfying meal.

You Want Roast Chicken? Roast It Yourself
I am cutting back on carbs and that day, I did not prepare my lunch. Actually I did prepare four day's worth of lunch but it was so good that one evening I took one portion for dinner heh...heh....

Roasted Asparagus is Delicious
You know, I hardly have the chance to eat asparagus because it is so pricey. At the restaurant, forget it. At the supermarket, forget it. I can't even remember the last time I had asparagus. I know they are awesome stir fried with prawns or sambal belacan.

Egg Yolk Pie
Last month was mooncake season and every year my partner would take me to buy mooncakes. And every year I find choosing mooncakes as gifts to be a headachy affair.

Sometimes when I buy vegetables to cook a dish, I end up with leftovers. I had leeks leftover from my partner's food prep, sweet potatoes from cooking dad's porridge, potatoes from a yet-to-be-baked Shepard's pie (hah!), pumpkin from cooking pumpkin rice and kale/cauliflower/chickpeas from a recent salad.

My Macam Macam Salad
It has been ages since I made myself a salad. I have been very naughty lately, eating out instead of prepping my own lunch. Tsk!

My Favorite@Pho Vietz
When I go to Pho Vietz@The Starling, more often than not, I would order the Vermicelli. This is some sort of noodle salad.

What Else Is Good@Champ's?
As you would probably notice, Champ's (CLOSED) is my favorite at A Foodie's Nest@The Starling. The moment I reach the foodcourt, that's where I would be headed.

Nothing Interesting To Share
Haiz..... Got no new recipes to share. I wanted to share my dhall curry recipe but as you know, the first attempt was a disaster (too thick, too salty) and unfortunately the second one turned out extremely salty.
