Lemongrass Chicken (Ga xao xa ot) : AFF Indochina
There is an abundance of Basil in my garden and that means it is time to cook Vietnamese dishes! I know I am a little slow to jump on the Indochina bandwagon. There are so many blog events that I want to take part in but time is a constraint. My cooking/baking only takes place during the weekends and there is a limit to what I can do during those two days.

Grilled Lemongrass Prawns (Tom nuong xa) : AFF Indochina
I am not exactly crazy about prawns like some people are but I do eat the occasional prawn. So when I saw this recipe, I decided to expand on my repertoire as you hardly find any seafood in my post list. You see, I prefer to eat chicken anytime :) So boring hah...hah...

Honey Roasted Spiced Nuts : LTU Butter
Do you like munching on fancy roasted spiced nuts? These nuts are delicious and very addictive. Not only that, they are terribly expensive too. But tell you what, you can make your own roasted nuts and chose the spicy flavors that you like.

Pai Kut Soh (Sweet and Sour Tamarind Pork Ribs)
I want to be a housewife. That's what an ex-colleague of yesteryears always said whenever she was stressed out at the office. Then someone would always pipe in "You think housewife very easy, ah?". Esther C, you are probably one by now. Either that or you are now a partner in one of the big four accounting firms. Whichever side you are on, I salute you!

Lemon Pepper and Rosemary Roasted Chicken
Do you know why I love roasted chicken so much? Besides the fact that it tastes so good, roast chicken is very easy to cook. I like hassle free cooking. And what could be more hassle free than roast chicken?

Sicilian Orange Cake : LTU Butter
What is beautiful about the LTU event is that, if you missed a theme, you can participate in the following one if the cake or dish that you are making uses the next theme ingredient. Take for example this Sicilian Orange Cake. I wanted very much to bake this cake for the Orange theme but I missed it. But now, I can happily hop on the Butter event with this cake.

Roasted Chicken with Potatoes and Carrots : LTU Butter
Someone said that butter makes everything taste good. I can't remember who said it but I have to agree. There was a time when I did not like the smell of butter. I later realized that it was actually the smell of rancid butter that put me off.
