Hungry! Hungry! Arrr...!! Arrr...!! Arrr....!! What's a big appetite to do when hunger calls? Go look for Big Breakfast of course. Tsk!
This time I decided to try the one served at Vine@The Starling (CLOSED). I was here before with my brother where we had a tummy bursting brunch.
As usual, I must have my kopi, no sugar. I love the coffee here. Nice aroma and taste.
Ah....does that look good or what? Not as huge as the one I had elsewhere but I enjoyed this one better.
My only complaint is I would prefer a thick slice of toast rather than a small croissant. Toast would have been perfect with the butter and jam provided.
Loads of protein there. The beef bacon and turkey ham tasted fine and the mini sausages were alright.
Though it's not extraordinary, I enjoyed everything on my plate.
Way before my recent big breakfast experience, I went to Red Kettle@The Starling for their Porkie Egg Benedict.
The coffee here is pretty good too.
Ooohhhh...luscious runny yolks, I love! This was another hearty breakfast as the eggs were sitting atop a piece of grilled pork shoulder and sourdough bread. This may not be a big breakfast, but it sure was very filling!
If me, I will enjoy this better too, hehe...
ReplyDeleteSure thing! hee..hee..
DeleteThis one looks more appealing to me:)
ReplyDeleteCan't resist the runny yolks like that too.
Definitely! I like to cicah bread with the runny yolks.
DeleteUiks...that is one egg or two eggs? looks a bit like twin yolks
ReplyDeleteTwo eggs fried sekali gus in the pan. LOL!
DeleteWahhhh...
ReplyDeleteThat is sure one BIG breakfast.
I would love toast than croissant too.
Very suited for my big stomach :)
DeleteOoooo...the Big Breakfast sure look like to die for nd I would love the Egg Benedict too. That's not twin yolks, I'm sure, smallkucing. Break two eggs in a bowl and pour together into the pan to fry and you will get it like that. Saw them doing it at a hotel and I always do it at home now. Copycat. Hehehehehe!!!
ReplyDeleteI like to fry eggs like that too. Saves time hee..hee..
DeleteOMG, you're really a big eater! That looks real good, dear! xoxo
ReplyDeletehee..hee.. Yes, I am a big eater!
DeleteDefinitely a big breakfast that is too big for me! It sure looks better than the bigger one that you had with too much gravy and sauces.
ReplyDeleteI know you will put half in your container :)
DeleteI see that you're very into BBs these days. But you know, it's also one of the easiest to make at home especially so if the components on the plate are mostly processed ones you can buy off the shelves. I almost never order sunny side up eggs...that I can do at home successfully, so I try to order those I can't make as successfully...poached or scrambled...kikiki! ;D I know there's nothing much we can do about the processed ham, pork or beef bacon but (for me personally) I'd like to see a component of inhouse made item on the plate...like sausages with freshly cooked mushrooms, potatoes and tomatoes instead of factory-made hash browns or baked beans. Hopefully one day you can venture into a brunch cafe that makes their own sausages and your BB experience will forever be changed...hehe! ;) Mmmm, I spot some French butter which I agree would go very well with a slice of toast.
ReplyDeleteEver since you posted your one pan fry up, I wanted to try it too but still have not had the chance. You are right, we can DIY a good BB at home. I am still waiting for a chance to go eat at Ra.ft. Must butter up my brother so that he can take me there hee..hee..
DeleteUse more of the Elle & Vire butter...wakakakaka! :D Otherwise, you just have to wait for their new outlet to open...which will be nearer to you. So far, the people I've recommended the place to and the people I've brought there has come away loving it! ;)
Deletehah..hah..hah.. I have hinted to him again today and yes, he is keen. Yay!
DeleteOh my, that is a huge breakfast!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! hee..hee...
DeleteHola!! You just made Oppa TM pengsan with the sight of the huge square plate of BIG BREAKFAST! It could feed me & wife for breakfast & lunch but you sapu sekali gus! I think you buy clothes from Ms Read or where Rosmah shops. Ha ha! Just lawak, jangan marah! I remember your tiny feet wearing the selipar Jepun.
ReplyDeleteI agree that croissant is out of place for such sumo meal. It should be a Dunlopillo Toast served on the plate.
#TMpengsan #TMbangunPenagsanLagi #MakananElephant
LOL! You made me laugh lah you! Yeah, yeah, I know I eat too much but my tangki is very big you know. Cannot tahan if just half tank, ok? Instead of croissant, it would be nice to have a thick slice of toasted sourdough bread. That would have gone so well with the butter and jam.
DeleteOh, I like the portion of your big breakfast because it can really satisfy my greedy appetite in the morning :P
ReplyDeleteI usually can't eat much too early, so brunch is perfect :)
DeleteThat is huge!! Can surely last till dinner! hahahaa...
ReplyDeletehah..hah.. dinner I got eat some more LOL!
DeleteOh my! That is one BIG Breakfast! Not sure I could finish it by myself. My tummy used to be very good, able to digest everything no matter how big the portion was. But now, my tummy shrink. Cannot eat too much. A little bit, I am almost full. And also try to take care of my health. Try not to overstuff myself. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI also can't eat as much as I used to. So you can imagine what it was like when I was younger. LOL!
DeleteJust stopping by to say HELLO from suituapui's blog! That is quite the plate you have there! Jennifer @ http://MyBlissfulJourney.com
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! Pleased to see you here :) I eat way too much. I'm thinking American sized servings is the thing for me LOL!
DeleteI like your breakfast plate especially on a hungry morning!
ReplyDeleteYes, very satisfying!
DeleteThanks to the starling, you have convenient access to a lot of brunch options now! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks to The Starling my cheat day schedule goes out of whack! LOL!
DeleteI think I will enjoy the porkie egg benedict
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you would!
DeleteThat's a decadent brekkie right there. Now I'm dreaming of the weekend and time to slowly sip coffee and have a big brekkie myself.
ReplyDeleteWeekend is the best time to have a leisurely brekkie!
DeleteOh, my! The runny yolk! I love it so much.
ReplyDeleteThat kind of breakfast can tahan your stomach from being hungry till midnight. Hahaha!
MD, dinner I makan lagi tau. wahahahaha!!!
DeleteBig Breakfast, no sweat! It just loads with protein and low carbs. No problem for Yannie to sapu that plate of big breakfast too.
ReplyDeleteBut Yannie works out in the gym, so it is OK.This auntie, haiyah... LOL!
DeletePuas hati, makan sedap, perut pun kenyang, mood pun baik sepanjang hari haha....
