Well, I did say that one day I would try Fatt Kee Soy Sauce Chicken Rice @ Damansara Kim and I did just that.
It was a Friday and I reckon that if I got there before 11:00am I should be able to get a table. Nope. The coffee shop, Restoran Wan Shoon, was full house! I felt intimidated and walked away.
But I pusing balik and placed my order at the stall. Fortunately by then, one table was vacated but the used plates/bowls were still not cleared. So I gingerly pushed away the bowls and plates and sat at the table.
Shortly after a staff came to clear the table and soon my chicken rice was served. The rice lacked fragrance (and was bland), unlike the times when I tapau for my parents.
A guy came to take the drinks order. These days even the coffee shops are high tech. The guy keyed-in my order using a tablet and used his mobile to let me scan the QR code. That's great because it is so convenient to use e-wallet.
I must say that the Kopi O was vavavoom! Very kaw and satisfying (RM3.50).
As for the chicken rice, I have no complaints. I was not blown away by the chicken rice but I was not disappointed either.
The proteins were to my liking (though I found the sauce too sweet, that seems to be the case these days). Well, I am glad I ate this chicken rice. No regrets.
The kitties are now potty trained. I set up two small containers of litter and Ah Boi was the first one to explore the potty. Later I found tiny clumps when I checked yesterday. Only pee. I guess mama cat still takes care of the poop.
Wah ๐๐๐๐๐ฅณ๐๐ the bb kitties are so smart. They know how to use the toilet already ๐๐
ReplyDeleteYes, and today they waited for me to let them out of the cage before they pee.
DeleteThey are super smart ๐ค ๐๐ป
DeleteI am impressed! This morning all three ran out of the cage and took their place in the litter boxes. I should have snapped a photo.
DeleteI am very lenient towards chicken rice so most chicken rice are ok for me. Plus point if chicken meat is tender and the rice doesn't make me thirsty.
ReplyDeleteI think I am like that too. But I am still a bit particular about the rice.
DeleteI will ask the vendor to omit the Char Siew sauce, :P
ReplyDeleteGood idea.
DeleteI've eaten at a proper Fatt Kee shop and the meats (I had the 4 meat combo) didn't quite leave an impression (I didn't like the char siew sauce either). The only thing I do remember was the duck (but then it probably can't beat your favourite donald duck). My favourite thing from that meal was the tofu with dried shrimps...lol! :D
ReplyDeleteOh dear. That is not good hah...hah... I don't think this stall is related to the one you visited.
