Raya At The Starling

The Hari Raya deco at The Starling is up and very colorful. A burst or shall I say an explosion of colors?

As usual there is the bazaar. But no kuih raya or snacks. Only Watsons stuff.

Ah! My favorite animal hee..hee...

Don't you think this is very colorful?

This must be the bicycle recycled from previous festive decos.

I wish my house deco is as nice as this.

I noticed old appliances like the old transistor radio and sewing machine which reminded me of my childhood. My late grandmother had a sewing machine like that one.

Oh look at that old TV set. Anyone old enough to have had one at home when you were a child?

That typewriter and record player are very ancient. I have not seen one like that even as a kid.

But that TV set with the wooden casing brought back memories of me watching Looney Tunes cartoons when I was a little girl.

Those were the days! But no, I do not miss my childhood.

Victoria Station is back yet again.

I do wish they would open a restaurant at The Starling.

Meanwhile upstairs, this gym PWR has opened.

At the basement, a bakery will be opening in May 2024.

Stuff'd must be doing very well as they are doing some renovations.

***Kitten Updates***

Knowing how much cats loves boxes, I just put a few outside the house for the kitties.

They love playing inside the boxes.

And this keeps them in home base.

But they have now shown interest in exploring the garden and the area outside my house. Ah Boi especially.

That's part of their learning and growing up experience.

  1. Thank you for the photos of Raya decors. The typewriter is exactly what my sister and I use when I was in primary school. The sewing machine is still with my mother.

    1. Wow you have used an antique typewriter. I don't know where my grandma's sewing machine had gone to.

  3. I would say it is too colourful and doesn't look Raya enough. Usually the shopping malls outsourced the festive decorations to window display designers who could rent many collectible display items from several companies specialised in renting these stuffs. So many looked recycled from other malls.
I look forward to see what Victoria Station is selling!

    1. Oh! I didn't know all that. Victoria Station is selling lasagna and cakes. I meant to try the lasagna but until now I have not!

  4. Tutu Kat is turning out to be a real charmer. Her/his hair is growing beautifully....on a diet of ProDiet?...lol! :D That photo of her/him looking up is a real heartbreaker. I happen to watch Shopee Live one day of this lady selling pet products and her camera was focussed on her kitties. All five were in one colour (light brown, no mixture) and so was the mother cat. They were the prettiest/cutest kitties I've seen. I was not interested to buy any of her products but very tempted to ask her if her kitty was for sale...lol! ;D

  5. Very colourful Raya decor indeed. My mom used to have that sewing machine at home too and I used to watch such ancient TV set at my uncle house when I was a kid as my family didn't afford to guy one. :(
