Eating Out As A Carnivore

Eating out is not so easy for me because carbs are everywhere. Proteins are always paired with either rice or noodles.

But there are places that can accommodate my way of eating like the chicken rice shop or noodle places that have no-noodle options. Or any restaurant that have meat side dishes.

The other day I got very hungry and did not bring any food with me. So I made my way to Li Wei @ The Starling (CLOSED) and got myself the 3 Combination BBQ Platter (RM27.00).

There you go - roasted chicken, char siew and siew yoke. I requested for the leg part of the chicken but was given the breast. The char siew was nice and fatty but the siew yoke was too lean.

I did not mind eating the sliced cucumbers and lettuce since I have no issues with vegetables. There were so little of it anyway.

Ah, the other day my partner had an outing with family and friends and asked me to join. But I declined.

Because.

Because.

Because.

Claypot Chicken Rice arrrghhh!!!! I LOVE THIS!!!!! wahahahaha!!!!

I bet I can eat that whole claypot kih...kih...kih....

Anyway. Cannot. Cannot.

By the way, they went to somewhere in Pudu, KL. Supposed to be famous and all.

Then they had dessert. Some sort of peanut and black sesame paste something something.

They do designs like those coffee art.

Today is day #9 since restarting carnivore after my Post GE15 shenanigans which ruined my health. I feel great. In fact I was so calm yesterday evening when the auditors kept revising the figures in the draft accounts and I had to rush and revise the tax and deferred tax figures. It was an urgent job and not once did I lose my temper or suffer an anxiety attack.

So I will continue to adhere to this way of eating and enjoy the occasional carbohydrate treat maybe one a month or not at all.

  3. Ah, the lean siew yuk and chicken breast meat is for me. Ya, difficult to eat out with family and friends if don't want to eat carb at all.

  4. Siu yuk is too lean....and char siew is too fatty. I'm afraid they don't look very appetising. >_< If we're talking about the famous claypot chicken rice in Pudu, it's highly likely that it's Huen Kee. Yeah, it's good (I had it via delivery before). And that peanut & black sesame paste dessert (or chi ma wu as well call it) must be from the famed (nearby) Ruby's as well. ^_~
