Christmas Belum Sampai, Tong Tong Chiang Sudah Mari

I went to Aeon this morning with my lahling for our usual grocery run. As we ascended via escalator from the basement, wah .... this sight greeted us.

Chinese New Year hampers sudah sampai! All the ang ang (red red) things are all over the place.

Next year, Chinese New Year falls on 22-01-2023. So fast, eh!

And then I saw something synonymous with Chinese New Year.

Wahahaha!! Ngaku mak oi!

But.

Before I could snap photos, I had to wait for these two characters. The auntie on the right is one of those characters who audit the ngaku and not only that, had an advisor on hand.

Then after staring (and long debate) at the ngaku section for the longest time, she abandoned what she selected.

And left her plastic bag just like that. Luckily for her me, I have achieved carnivore calm and I did not turn into the Incredible Hulk.

Apparently there are two types of ngaku here. So, anybody buying ngaku and sweating it out in the kitchen? hah..hah...hah...

On the home front.

Girl was asleep with funny poses.

Then later she moved to the sofa.

She detected that her Ma was snapping photo of her, hence the half opened eyes.

But she soon relaxed and was snoozing away.

Happy Sunday!

  1. Yes, CNY is in January, will be here soon. People already buying and stocking up! I'm not in a hurry - will celebrate the Winter Solstice first - Dec 22nd...and then Christmas and then New Year.

  5. I like the festive vibe in the mall with Christmas songs and soon the CNY songs singing at the background. ^__^ I wonder which arrow head is more suitable to make into chips.
