Cease And Desist!

I am back on track eating proteins and fats. This is the better diet for me because I feel so much better without carbohydrates.

My usual protein is beef or pork (bacon woohoo!!!). I also include eggs. I hardly eat chicken these days but there are times when I do want chicken.

This is my mixed plate of fried (duck) eggs, beef trimmings, bacon and grilled chicken chop. This makes it less boring.

I used to love poke bowls and I admit my favorite part is the rice because it tastes so good with lashings of sauces. Now of course my poke bowl is a modified one made with just meat and eggs.

 I used air-fried beef trimmings...

... air fried deboned chicken thigh...

... and some bacon and omelette.

I am already feeling so much better and I won't do multiple carbohydrate days again.

  1. I stick to my Barnds' chicken essence with codyceps and two eggs every morning for the protein. Anything else that I eat is additional. Starting to put on a bit of weight, just a bit...not skin and bone anymore.

    1. It' s good to know that you have put on some weight. At one time my mum was so skinny but she has since put on some healthy weight. You must look after your health and I wish you well!

  2. Air fried deboned chicken thigh looks good. I suppose I can never go on a full carnivore diet because I love veg too much.

    1. I also thought it would be hard for me as well but somehow I adapted. I will at some point add vegetables to my meals.

  3. Japanese poke bowls are known to be chock full of healthy ingredients like fish & vegetables....and they'll certainly cringe at your meat & eggs version. They'll say...please don't call it a poke bowl....lol! :D My favourite part of a poke bowl is not the rice but the fish and fresh vegetables.

    1. LOL! They will and be horrified! Oh, I do love the fish and vegetables and the rice makes it more enjoyable. I have had poke bowl without rice and somehow it was not as enjoyable. I guess deep down, I still love rice hee..hee...my confession for the day!

  6. I am thinking hard what would my life be without eating rice like you. I am now almost skin and bones. I might turn into willow trees.
I really love your poke bowl meals as we get to throw in all our favourite meat and egg. I know you are never wrong with food. I salute this sifu!

    1. Good nutrition is so important. I learnt so much ever since changing my diet. It has been wonderful for my mental and emotional health. Please make sure you eat well. Proteins and fats is good for us. Some carbohydrates is OK, but not too much.
