My Kaw Kaw Kopi Fix

You all know I love coffee, right? Some of my member-member at the Steak & Butter Gang have gone off coffee and they are very proud of themselves.

Good for them, then. Me, I still drink coffee and I don't think I would ever quit. That is my choice.

Today after (a late) lunch, I decided to go and visit a coffee truck.

But before that, on the way there, I met a friend.

hee..hee..hee... a kitty cat!

I extended my hand to test if it was friendly enough to let me pet it. It was very friendly and docile and allowed me to give it a head rub.

Every time I see a cat, I fall in love. Now back to the coffee business.

There it is. Kaw Kaw Kopi.

It is located right opposite Alliance Bank and in front of the shophouse along the same row as Village Park.

Besides coffee they also sell Ice Lemon Tea and Iced Tea. I asked for the Kopi Bing Kaw (kosong - no sugar).

This is the full range of their drinks.

I wonder what is Signature One Plus One, MK Bing, Hor Ka Sai and goodness me, Kopi Masin Kaw (got salt? hah..hah...)

Then it occurred to me Hor Ka Sai in Hokkien means "tiger bites lion" wahahahaha!!!! It is black coffee with Milo. So weird. Maybe one day I might try it.

Then I went back to play with my friend.

On my way back to the office, I passed by a hair salon.

Coffee time!

It was very hard to pierce the plastic cover with the straw, so I had to use my paper cutter.

Wah! The kopi damn strong woohoo!! One sip and I can feel myself going BING!!! At RM4.50 for this tall cup, I think the price is very reasonable.

Dunno tonight can sleep or not?

I like to support our small local businesses so I guess I will come here from time to time for my iced coffee fix.

  2. I've gone off coffee too! And I don't know why I gave it up then? Cannot remember. I was drinking it unsweetened for a while and eventually, I just gave up on it. One of those health reasons.

  4. These days, most places package their cold drinks in sealed plastic cups...even coffee shops. If you'd like to know, 1 + 1 is something like Hainan tea...a mixture of coffee and tea (depending on the place that makes it, the percentage of coffee to tea can be different, so sometimes you'll get more coffee taste, other times more tea taste. Hor ka sai (in Cantonese is like "very proud" I think) is actually kopi-peng (black coffee with condensed milk) + Milo. I'm guessing kopi masin kaw has some salt in it?....just like they'll put salt in ice cream? Don't know what MK Bing is. P/S: I see coffee is one of those things you can't give up in your carnivore diet! ;) I can't give up coffee either...if I don't have a cup in the morning, something feels not right...lol.

    1. I don't mind the packaging since it is hygienic and spill proof but very susah to poke the straw. Thanks for your clarification on the variety of coffee drinks. Mixing coffee and tea and Milo is very strange to me LOL!! Next time when I go there again I will ask about the kopi masin and MK Bing. Ah, we are the same! I must have coffee or else I also feel something is not right hah..hah..hah...
