The moment I stepped inside, wah .... the smell of pastries was wonderful! Of course I wasn't going to eat pastries. The only thing I can eat here (for now) are eggs.
They looked so perfect.
The ramekins were very hot while the eggs were cool. They were seasoned with salt and pepper. The egg whites stuck to the ramekins and I tasted something - it wasn't butter.
I think they coated the ramekins with some form of fat/oil (shortening?) to prevent the eggs from sticking. I didn't like that taste.
Their onsen eggs looked nice and yummy. Not many restaurants can serve good ones. This one is a must-try since you had double orders. I heard pastries?? I will visit soon. ๐๐
ReplyDeleteIf you love pastries and good coffee, then you will love it here!

ReplyDeleteHeh..heh...warm and soft, better than the cushion LOL!
DeleteYou can buy onsen eggs these days without having to pay cafe prices (and without the taste you dislike)....lol! Keep it chilled in the fridge and consume anytime.
ReplyDeleteOh ya, you blogged about the ones you bought at Family Mart. For some strange reason I can't get them at the Family Mart near me.
DeleteI eat my eggs with Bovril, Marmite or Vegemite. If all not available, I'd settle for kicap, never on their own.
ReplyDeleteMine is always with light soy sauce and pepper.
DeleteThese 4 onsen eggs were your lunch? You have to see your luck when you're trying to get Family Mart onsen egg as they are only available in certain outlets and they are always sold out. Try your luck at CU Mart too, it's sold there as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, my lunch. No wonder lah, I never see onsen eggs at Family Mart. Ok, let me see if I can find them at CU Mart. Thanks for the tip!
