30 Day Carnivore Challenge : Day #16

Just a quick one today. No, that up there is not my dinner. I don't have any new food photo to show because I ate the last container of beef tendon soup hee..hee...

I may be carnivore, but I draw a line at cats (and dogs). There was this urban legend in Terengganu about a pau seller whose pau was so delicious that they sold out all the time. Apparently some people sneaked into his premises and yikes! they saw the remains of cats, many cats in his back yard! True or not, I don't know.

This was my dinner (no lunch).

I also finished up the last of my fried shallots. I shall be making some more of this soup and with that, another batch of fried shallots is imminent!

I put a cardboard box on top of my shoe cabinet. It was meant for Belle Belle but Girl decided that it was her cosy spot.

As of the time of writing, my two kiddos are outside and this seems to be the pattern these days. After makan, they will go out lepak-lepak

This photo of Belle Belle I took a few weeks back when she berkepoh-kepoh again on my desk.

  1. I recently bought fried shallots with oil that comes in a bottle and it was so good....now I don't need to make my own fried onions anymore.....hah..hah. Leaving your two kids outside at night sounds dangerous to me (if it was Cookie, I don't think I'd be able to sleep wondering if he'd be safe out there in the night). P/S: So cute lah the last photo. Belle Belle wants to cium your tangan....lol.

    1. Where did you buy it from? I reckon must be from the wet market and it must be homemade. Yeah, I understand it could be dangerous but I trust they know how to stay safe. These days I tak kuasa to control them. Yes, Belle was going all cute on me that day hee..hee...

  3. Nice photos of both girls! Wah, you are on a OMAD! I guess you will be buying more beef tendon to make this soup. That is a terrifying story about the baos. I hope it is not true. If not, it must be horrible for people who has eaten the baos.

    1. OMAD sort of came naturally because meat is so padat and satisfying. LOL! That story, I also hope it is not true.

  4. Hahaha Girl quickly chup the box for herself first. Fried shallots and the oil are great for soup and blanched vegetables but these days I am lazy probably because of the hot weather.

  5. When I was in Shanghai years ago, I read news that the pau seller in Guangzhou was sentenced to death together with his accomplice. The accomplice cut all the thighs of dead corpses from the morgue he worked for and passed it to pau seller!!
I I better not eat pau that used cats! OMG! How gross and cruel.....
