Today I spent 2.5 hours waiting for my meat delivery. I hate waiting for deliveries especially when the supplier is not so efficient.
Sanbanto is great because their delivery is always punctual. They are efficient in organizing their schedule. Deliveries between 10:00am and 11:00am usually show up as early as 9:30am or latest by 10:30am.
Feast Market unfortunately is not as organized. Today's delivery which was supposed to come between 10:00am and 11:00am was delivered way past 11:00am. I am a stickler for punctuality and it matters to me.
Both suppliers use Lalamove where deliveries can be scheduled ahead of time. I believe Feast Market did not do so and had trouble securing a ride.
Anyhow. These are my meat haul.
From Sanbanto - minced pork, Korean style BBQ pork belly and pork burgers (not in the photo). The regular pork belly was from a previous order.
Yesterday, I did a bacon haul hah..hah..
I can get bacon from Hank's which is part of Jaya Grocer and located in its own shoplot next to Jaya Grocer at The Starling.
I looked at the label just to check if the bacon contains sugar (some do as part of the seasonings). It turned out pretty good and although it is unsmoked, it tastes just like the usual bacon that I usually eat.
So. heh..heh...
As I was enjoying my lunch, the power supply in my house was cut off. Bah! So I texted my road rep to check if she had power and apparently she had but a few of our neighbors were also without power.
So this madam took charge and called Tenaga Nasional. Today being Friday, it took a while for the technicians to sort things out and power was restored just after 2:00pm.
As for dinner, it was pork chops. I love the pork chops from Sanbanto and I always put in a request for meat with more fat.
I had another 3 pieces of bacon left and I fried them up. Then I pan fried the pork chops (using residual bacon fat) and sliced onions.
At the last moment I added a cube of butter and some soy sauce. I removed the pork chops from the pan and continued to saute the onions until caramelized.
Once everything was plated, I cut the bacon up into smaller pieces and sprinkled on top of the pork chops.
What can I say? The pork chops were phenomenal! So so good! But I was not able to finish all of it due to my very substantial lunch. So there are leftovers for tomorrow!
The pork chop with bacon and caramelized onion look so yummy.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good!
DeleteI have the salmon and eggs please, thank you. Since they are using lalamove, they will send u a tracking url to monitor the status of the delivery, right? I only start to wait when the lalamove status shows that it is near my house.
ReplyDeleteOnly Sanbanto has tracking so I know when to expect the guy.
DeleteI prefer smoked bacon. Nice slab of salmon there!
ReplyDeleteIt didn't taste any different from the smoked one. Funny.
DeletePork chop for me!!! That a lot of meal haul. But all can be kept in freezer so you can enjoy them well.
ReplyDeleteMy freezer is always so full hah..hah..
DeleteHeheh, I thought you won't be eating steaks so often....and then you went and stock up on some more steaks....lol! ;P
ReplyDeleteYa hor...hah..hah..hah...
DeleteThe price of meat selling at Feast Market is really not cheap. >_<
ReplyDeleteI know. They are premium and the quality is very good.
DeleteWow. That was a long wait. Now you compare and know which food delivery to use for effective and faster delivery.
