This morning I woke up hungry which is unusual for me. I think it is because last night's dinner was not adequate.
There was not much meat and tendon in the soup. I felt full mostly from the soup and this is something to take note of when I prepare my next meal. I must eat enough.
So breakfast was just simple fried eggs and a few slices of beef salami.
I used to enjoy cold cuts like this but after eating unprocessed meat for almost 3 weeks (save for bacon and sausages), this salami had an unpalatable taste. Maybe it tasted good when it was in a sandwich accompanied by cheese, sauces and some fresh raw veggies.
In spite of breakfast, I got real hungry at lunch time. Alamak. I should have fried more eggs and taken them with me to work. So no choice, I had to resort to food from the chap fan shop.
There you go. Three curried eggs, marmite chicken and sweet and sour fish. Not exactly ideal but it will do.
This is my fatty bom bom enjoying some dry food. This morning she was super manja and I carried her around like a baby, giving her ear rubs and all.
I decided to use the air fryer because cooking steak on the stove top can be very messy, lots of oil splatter.
Salami!!! Can't remember the last time I had that! Your chap fan looks quite miserable compared to what you cooked. Steak looks great too!
ReplyDeleteLOL! The chap fan dishes were pretty tasty but not too photogenic.
DeleteI just enjoyed a nice ribeye steak over the weekend. Yours looked nice. Never attempt to cook steak at home as I worry I will ruin a good steak. Haha.
ReplyDeleteOh ya, I read about it hee..hee.. I have ruined a few pieces of steak before but I have since improved. LOL!
DeleteI see a cube of butter on the side of your plate....is the steak hot enough to melt the butter? The only time I can eat unmelted butter is when it's butter & kaya with toast....lol (otherwise very "jelak")! >_< P/S: You ate 6 eggs yesterday...again! I can understand since eggs is easy to cook and is now possibly the only side dish available to you in this diet (since no vege, potatoes or beans). I'd be rather curious though to find out how many eggs you downed during this 1-month carnivore diet...are you keeping count?....hee...hee..hee! ^_~
ReplyDeleteThe butter was eaten chilled from the fridge. I got the idea from some carnivores I see online. I quite like it that way. I love eggs but I did not keep track how many I have downed so far hah..hah....
DeleteI saw you seldom cook seafood, maybe you can add them int your meal plan for the balance of days during ut carnivore diet.
ReplyDeleteYes, good idea. I was thinking of that too.
DeleteI like marmite chicken. Beautiful medium steak. May I know what brand and model is your air fryer? I am thinking of getting one.
ReplyDeleteMy air fryer is a Perry Smith. Quite cheap about RM200+. It is quite small though.
Deletethe medium rare steak looks good....i can have it without butter.
ReplyDeleteI have just learnt to eat steak with chilled butter.
DeleteI think you are hungry because the soup yesterday didn't provide you with enough oil since your marbled steak will have enough oil to keep you full longer. I find that if I didn't eat oil then I get hungry very fast. Salami should be too flavourful to be eaten on its own like that. If you want to buy clean-eating cooked meat during lunch, you can buy steamed chicken breast or whole leg. Should have less gravy on them.
ReplyDeleteGood idea, I could get chicken from the chicken rice shops.
