Back in December 2024, I revisited Red Kettle after their reopening. They had closed earlier in the year for a makeover.
I prefer their new layout, without the split level that used to be located at the inner part of the restaurant.
Their menu was not revamped.
So I ordered the same old same old.
The Really Big Breakfast, with request for no salad. I should have also requested for no corn.
I love their Flat White. The best in the neighborhood.
I left the French toast to the last to be enjoyed as dessert.
On the last day of 2024, I visited in the afternoon for some year end sweet indulgence. Let loose a bit lah.
A Tiramisu and Mocha cake.
This Mocha Cake is very bittersweet as it reminded me of my late friend.
The Tiramisu Cake was creamy and boozy and I must say, vavavoom!
Both cakes enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
That was how I ended the year. Hah!
Looks like your year ended with a bang...lol! :D Why only the vegetables got the boot? And not the bread! Injustice, says the vegetables!! P/S: When you said bittersweet, it reminded me of our dear late friend too. :'(

DeleteWho is the late friend you girls are talking about? TM? I missed him too. I still kept the postcards he sent to us when he went overseas. He was a very humorous, cheerful, positive, strong and wise person. I enjoyed reading his posts. :(

DeleteAh, that day I was at starling mall and I said to my spouse that the new layout is better, no split lever. Ah I haven't tried their cakes yet.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is valentine 💘 day so perhaps I should go try these two cakes. I hope that they have Tiramisu and Mocha cakes tomorrow at gardens mall.
