Still A Meat Eater

There are so many temptations around me in the form of (delicious) carbohydrates.

Such as Chinese New Year snacks, cookies and new restaurants with delicious carbs on the menu. Yup I had some indulgences during the festive season heh..heh... I can't help it!

This Fujisawa Rainbow Yee Sang looked awesome but no, I did not have the opportunity to eat this awesome looking salad.

I passed by this little garden of long beans.

There were small little lanterns around the plants. So cute!

Before the Chinese New Year, I was resolute that I would stick to my way of eating. Of course, with benefit of hindsight, this was not 100% possible.

This meal was before the festive period. I had just walked back from Damansara Jaya and I was sweating like a pig. I smelt like a pig too. Ughs!

So I had to have my favorite drink. Iced Kopi C kosong. It was very thirst quenching and satisfying.

I was very hungry and again I ate roast duck. Better to stick to the duck as it is the best (or better) thing here. Ordering half is better than portion in the mixed combos because you get a fresher one. This one was good. No complaints.

No sweet sauce, no condiments. So well behaved! The staff brought an extra plate for me which I did not use. I just ate direct from the serving plate (as usual).

This was dinner that evening.

Pork shoulder steak and sauerkraut, purple kraut and kimchi.

The next morning I air fried these two pieces of pork shoulder steaks.

Cooked just right, tender and juicy. Yes, it is pink but safe to eat.

Packed one portion for lunch.

I brought my bacteria along.

Yesterday evening I had these.

Yup I was eating a lot of pork. A nice change from eating beef.

The pork chops were small sized, hence I ate four. They taste great with kimchi and sauerkraut.

Then I got back to eating beef trimmings. These were quite fatty and tasty.

On the first day Chinese New Year I ate oranges. The next morning I woke up with painful finger joints. I suspect it was chemicals (pesticides/preservatives) sprayed on the oranges.

After a couple of days, the pain subsided. Then I decided to test and ate oranges again. The next morning, the pain came back. So. No more oranges!
I thought this cat meme was hilarious. Something to amuse cat lovers.
