Mind you 5:00am is not early for me. My usual wake up time is 4:00am or 3:30am.
My sleep has been disrupted (since Chinese New Year until now) due to the inconsiderate firing of fire crackers (late evening and way past midnight). Fire crackers should be BANNED!!!
I had to do the laundry, feed the kitties and take care of my Lactobacillus Reuteri cultured diary.
There you go. I am using the Luminarc glasslock container that I bought recently. It couldn't accommodate the total volume hence some had to go into another container.
The Paku Belacan (L) and Bittergourd Fried in Egg (L) were served first. We had to wait quite a bit for the proteins.
We waited and waited for the next dish. I had to remind the server and as we almost finished the fish, the Signature Ribs (M) arrived.
This was also my brother's request. He siap-siap tell me what to order before we got to the restaurant. Just in case his sister orders those ching-ching kind of dishes wahahahaha!!!
The meat was so so good! I let my brother enjoy the bone because I already had my share on a previous visit.
The next morning, another heart attack Sunday. More on that later.
I agree that fireworks should be banned. My area also the firecrackers casings kept falling on roofs, creating lots of rubbish. So terrible.
ReplyDeleteI too, agree that fireworks should be banned or at least not sold to common folks like us.
ReplyDeleteBecause regardless whatever rules the government intend to implement, some people will always ignore them and set it off after midnight, or worse, throughout the night until wee hours in the morning.
I feel that this year has to be one of the worst because it is now legal to buy and own them.
I read on Reddit that someone woke up the next morning to a side of his car very badly damaged by fireworks.
Apparently someone staying at the other end of the street didn't secure their fireworks properly, the box jumped and landed on the side, sending the flares all over and exploding on the road, and sadly also on the side of his car.
This guy managed to identify the culprits thanks to CCTV and seek for compensation (expected to cost thousands), but these people have the cheek to lalang, at first agree to pay but not in full amount and later decided that they should not be footing the bill.
The other users on Reddit urge him to report police because these people are endangering lives and destroying properties.
Because of the fireworks, your plan to have a deep sleep and wake up at 4.00am to do your chores according to your plans, it not only disrupts your sleep, it is also very dangerous, I agree that fireworks should be banned. People are having fun yet causing massive inconvenience and danger to their neighbours and public. I also had red hard boiled eggs at home for proteins and Vitamin D that day after we prayed to Tian Gong on Day 9 of CNY (we prayed past Midnight on Day 8 so is consider Day 9). We had quiet rituals using electricity lights and paying attention to the joss sticks etc so as not to cause any fire or be a nuisance to our neighbours.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices at Kar Hiong.
My suggestion for the pork cookies, while they are still fresh and not past expiry date, you and your brother can pass it on to needy people who do eat such cookies (tell them can dip in milk, coffee or tea to eat if they find it too dry or heaty). That is what we do with our leftover CNY goodies/gifts from others while they are still fresh.
