It was a very hot day (as is everyday). So first things first.
A cold mug of Kopi C, no sugar. Ah! So refreshing! The world looks brighter after coffee hee...hee...
Now on to the gardens!
As you huff and puff up the stairs you will come upon this connector that goes to the corridor leading to The Starling.
Another flight of steps and you will always encounter people coming and going. When I snapped this photo a leng lui was coming down the steps.
I think the plants needs water. I don't know what the watering schedule is like and in this very hot weather, I hope the caretakers make sure the plants are watered everyday. They do look a bit dry and thirsty.
You can see that it was very hot. A lot of the leaves have dropped off as you can see the tree branches are quite bare.
Sometimes I see people exercising and kids from the nearby nursery participating in activities on the field.
Straight ahead is the entrance to the mall. So now, I like to take this path to go to the mall because the stairs give me additional workout and it is nice to look at the greenery.
After a few days of rain (in the evenings), yesterday the flowering trees looked a lot greener and fresher.
Thank you for the nice walk in the garden. I like the very small patch of greenery in starling mall when I exit using the door near where Daiso used to be and then walk towards the escalator down to cross the road to Annie 1 eatery. I am sure you know this path too as you are starling mall n uptown expert.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. That tree and flowers is frangipani. ๐ ๐
Yes. I can recognise the frangipani plants and flowers. Especially those in white, the flowers will look very milky rich in colours. Good that you are able to appreciate the nature like me.There are many things that are free if you know how to open your eyes and ears to appreciate them and count your blessings. In my neighbourhood there are coconut trees swaying during a good weather day when it is windy and cloudy. And birds flying and chirping in the woods. That day I even saw a big lone '"eagle lookalike" flying majestically. What a view!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I remembered when I was still in primary school I read a literature storybook titled 'The Secret Garden' and I was enticed and mesmerised by the story.
