My Chinese New Year Snacks

The other day when I was walking to my brother's house, I stopped by the provision shop to buy newspaper for my mum.

That's where I saw these Chinese New Year snacks.

These are very nice to munch on while watching TV. Then when I got to my brother's house, I went to inspect his stash of snacks heh..heh...

Nice collection there.

Fish skin also got.

At Jaya Grocer I saw even more snacks.

I also got snacks lah.

Tadaaaa...........

These will keep me company during Chinese New Year when I am watching Netflix.

These are the Salted Double Crunch. These pork rinds have to be kept in the fridge to extend their shelf life since no preservatives are used.

These can also be crushed up and used like breadcrumbs though I haven't tried that as yet.

Well, these should keep me happy instead of cookies and other carb/sugar laden snacks.

  1. Hello Sneaky! LOL spy on (inspect) your brother's snacks. Both of you have different preferences for snacks, he likes fish skin while you prefer pork rinds. So you already have plans for your CNY, first day pay a visit to your Dad together with your brother and mom, other days snacks while watching Netflix. A nice plan though. Anyway nowadays Chinese New Year will be over by the third day and most of the shops/stalls will be opened on the third day, even shopping malls are already opened on the second day.

  2. No snacks or goodies for me during CNY in case I get sore throat or cough (good that I am quite disciplined in this area and I do not have strong craving for snacks).

  3. My spouse would prefer your snacks to your brother's snacks. This year I am not buying those sweet cny snacks.

  4. Lol....noone can do without any CNY snacks! ;) If I were to gift that to my SILs, they'll get a heart attack!! Wakakakaka! P/S: If your brother likes fish skin, can try Cik B Salmon Skin (cheaper alternative to Irwins) from Shopee.
