My lahling had a Chinese New Year shopping spree getting some new pants and shirts. So after our adventure darting in and out of the fitting room (hah..hah...), we had dinner at, where else, Chili's.
No soft drinks for us, just warm water.
My lahling had a salad. But no, not his usual Santa Fe Chicken Salad.
He had the Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad.
Hmmm...that looks good. I have had and enjoyed this salad before.
I chose something that is more in line with my way of eating.
The Surf and Turf (Ribeye with Prawns) caught my eye.
I ate everything on my plate except for the mashed potatoes. That was my lahling's carb quota for the evening hee..hee...
I requested the ribeye to be cooked to medium rare.
The steak was very thin and very lean. So it was not that nice. I prefer fatty steak. The black pepper sauce was very good and made the steak go down easier.
Meanwhile, the prawns were just ok and the broccoli needed to be dipped in the sauce because it was bland.
That was a very nice evening indeed.

With my one broken tooth, I cannot order or eat steak anymore because no strength to bite. Scared my broken tooth will break further 😅

My partner also prefers warm water but not me LOL! I am definitely for fatty meat hee..hee..
DeleteThe first photo already revealed you went to Chili's coz who would have a chicken salad other than your partner...lol. I wonder why the (beef) bacon is served on the side....does that mean someone would choose to not have it? :D P/S: A lot of the times a side vegetable like broccoli is always served bland (unless they're roasted) as they're usually just boiled.
ReplyDeletehah..hah... My partner doesn't eat beet but he absentmindedly poured the beef bacon onto his salad LOL! I think they just want to show you they give you the bacon because it is so little it might go unnoticed if they put direct on the salad.
DeleteOh yeah, forgot about your partner not eating beef. Hah...hah...so the beef bacon served separately does have its function...someone else gets to pour it directly onto her food instead.
