Carnivorous @ Twins Signature Roast Duck, Damansara Uptown

That's it! No more carbs! The carnivore is back! Woohoo!! Today as usual (Saturdays) I went to visit my parents.

Dad is doing all right, he is still not strong enough to stand up but he looks loads better than he did when he was at the hospital. I bought two blouses and a pair of pants for mum. She tried it on and modelled for me (and dad) to see. She looked so cute and youthful hee..hee.. I am glad the clothes fit her perfectly.

After the visit, I walked back to the office. Roast duck was on my mind. So was siew yoke. That's a good sign, craving for meat instead of carbs. Seriously, I cannot tahan the carbs anymore. Yesterday, I was bloated and passed a lot of gas wahahaha!!! Ah, I haven't blogged about my dinner yesterday. Wait lah.

I went to Twins Signature Roast Duck. Last year I ordered their roast duck via Grabfood.

Ordering here is via QR code but payment is made after you finish your meal. I can totally eat here because I can order ala carte just meat.

The interior has a traditional coffee shop vibe and is kept cool via those huge blowers.

I am still getting the hang of ordering via QR code. I got me the Triple Combo - duck, siew yoke and char siew and a Kopi-O (iced, no sugar).

The coffee looked good but when I took a sip, it was sweet  even though I added a comment in my order for no sugar. So I approached the very friendly see thou phor (lady boss) and pointed this out to her. She kindly replaced the coffee for me.

The server gave me a plate which I did not use since it was not necessary.

I loved the duck, the siew yoke had lots of fat (the way like it) and the char siew was very good too (also fatty) although I found it too sweet. That's the trouble with me these days, everything that contains sugar is now too sweet.

The sauce that was served was very tasty but again, too sweet for me. So I used the sauce sparingly. Before my food was served, a server presented me with a tray containing  sauce plates of chili dip and pickled green chilies. I picked the chili dip.

The coffee was super and I loved it. I was very pleased that I had a carnivore meal today.

Yesterday, Kittie Kat pulled another Spiderman stunt on mommy.

Messy hair, no make up except for some light eye shadow. I am very simple. 

After my meat fest, I went to The Starling where there is a travel fair.

Wah! Very lau juak! People are in the mood for vacation. 

Me, no time to go anywhere. I am not the travelling type anyway. Just thinking about packing and going to the airport, I already feel tired.

A promoter passed a brochure to me.

I took it because it was made with good quality paper and is good for lining cupboards. Yeah, I am the worst.

Travel destinations - Amazing Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. One day, maybe one day ....

At least once in a lifetime, I'd like to go on a cruise with my partner. 

Ok, quit dreaming hah..hah..hah... Just focus on getting healthy and getting back on the carnivore diet again.
