That's it! No more carbs! The carnivore is back! Woohoo!! Today as usual (Saturdays) I went to visit my parents.
Dad is doing all right, he is still not strong enough to stand up but he looks loads better than he did when he was at the hospital. I bought two blouses and a pair of pants for mum. She tried it on and modelled for me (and dad) to see. She looked so cute and youthful hee..hee.. I am glad the clothes fit her perfectly.
After the visit, I walked back to the office. Roast duck was on my mind. So was siew yoke. That's a good sign, craving for meat instead of carbs. Seriously, I cannot tahan the carbs anymore. Yesterday, I was bloated and passed a lot of gas wahahaha!!! Ah, I haven't blogged about my dinner yesterday. Wait lah.
Ordering here is via QR code but payment is made after you finish your meal. I can totally eat here because I can order ala carte just meat.
The coffee looked good but when I took a sip, it was sweet even though I added a comment in my order for no sugar. So I approached the very friendly see thou phor (lady boss) and pointed this out to her. She kindly replaced the coffee for me.
I loved the duck, the siew yoke had lots of fat (the way like it) and the char siew was very good too (also fatty) although I found it too sweet. That's the trouble with me these days, everything that contains sugar is now too sweet.
The sauce that was served was very tasty but again, too sweet for me. So I used the sauce sparingly. Before my food was served, a server presented me with a tray containing sauce plates of chili dip and pickled green chilies. I picked the chili dip.
This is a proper photo of my auntie face taken when I got to the office (without Kittie Kat to photobomb me).
Me, no time to go anywhere. I am not the travelling type anyway. Just thinking about packing and going to the airport, I already feel tired.
I took it because it was made with good quality paper and is good for lining cupboards. Yeah, I am the worst.
Ok, quit dreaming hah..hah..hah... Just focus on getting healthy and getting back on the carnivore diet again.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Glad your dad is doing alright.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a cruise. The world cruise. Hope one day for that.
Me too. I have seen some people's post when they went on a cruise. It looked very exciting.
DeleteGood to hear your dad is recovering better. His bones must be weak, so you know how to boost him up. I was so fed up with myself and went to Pho Viet Restaurant yesterday to drink up whole bowl of beef soup and didn't finish the noodles or beef. I felt so good with the nutrients and triumphed around Starling Mall like a mad cow. Please post your mum's modelling photo for us to see! Oh pleaseee??
ReplyDeleteI am surprised you could walk back to office after visiting them. My radar detected that they live very close to me. How nice.
That platter of Duck, Siew Yoke etc looks yummy and made me drool. I am avoiding chunky meat for a while to allow my longkang to flow smoothly again.
You should book a cruise asap and go with your lahling. I love cruises and their casino inside cos no Hantu at work in the oceans. Sure win! Go while you are still so pretty and stunning with no make up. Your face and eyes have the fullest confidence look. No wonder Penang Lang all fallen in love with you.
My mummy is shy lah, that's why I didn't snap her photo. LOL! If you like beef pho, you must try the one upstairs at the food court - Pho Real. Theirs is much better than Pho Vietz's. My brother's house is closer to DU and not TTDI. I wish that we have better infrastructure for pedestrians. Bandar Utama is so near to TTDI and yet there is no way I am walking to TTDI with the heavy traffic and no safe way to cross the road.
DeleteEverybody got longkang issues. LOL! May partner sometimes complains about blocked longkang and he said sweet potatoes very effective hah..hah...
Yes, I want to go on a cruise with my lahling. So romantic, right? Aiyo you are very generous with your compliments. I will just say thank you graciously!
Oooo...that looks good! Think I'm gonna have that for lunch! Any to Sibu? Come, come on over and have a good rest here, relax, great food...and me!
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of the book "Coffee, Tea or Me?". LOL!
DeleteAh, so nice of the boss to replace the coffee for you. I wonder did they pour your sweet coffee away or drink it themselves.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering too. I just took one sip using the straw. Next time I will drop the coffee into a spoon using the straw and taste from there. LOL!
DeleteKittie Kat is so blessed to have such a patient and kind mommy as you. I read that to put on eye shadows must put in eye cream before that because the area around the eyes need special care, more than the rest of the face. Nice photo of your eye shadow face. 👍
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I am impatient, I will put her in the lokap! LOL! I don't use any eye cream because I am very lazy when it comes to such things,
Deletethe trio platter of siew yoke, char siu and roasted duck looks tempting. I would order that too, but with rice. LOL! You look gorgeous even without make up. Yes, i like minimalist look. I'm one of those who don't wear make up too. Kitty cat is so clingy. Gosh, i must one day pay a visit to my office cat, miss her dearly. And yes, u must go for a vacation while u r still strong, healthy & gorgeous! I feel like wanting to go Vietnam, Thai and Taiwan now.....
ReplyDeleteOf course with rice lagi syiok, right? LOL! I say, thank you for your compliments heh..heh... I wasn't looking for compliments, just showing my plain face. Yes, Kittie Kat is very clingy. When I come out of the house she will rush for me and try to either climb up on me or bite my toes. Hope you have a reunion with your office cat hah..hah...
DeleteI stand corrected....this is the most clear photo of you we've seen yet...lol! You're not afraid that your client or clients might bump onto your blog and see your face (and read some of your private details/sharings)...wuahahahaha! :D
ReplyDeleteYes, correct. It is my most clear photo. Well, if my clients (or God forbid LHDN officers) stumble upon my blog, well they might terkejut badak. But I am quite confident they won't find me hah..hah..hah...
DeleteHah..hah...don't be so confident. Have you not heard of the phrase "the world is very small"....lol. Perhaps not the LHDN officers but some of your clients (who may be foodies or just love food) may stumble upon your blog while finding places to eat....and terkejut beruk (I'm talking grizzly bears)! :D :D Why do you think they won't find you when you've such high readership stats? And P/S: My dear, why do you keep calling yourself aunty when you have such a youthful look? ;)
DeleteI know, it's a small world, so we'll see if I get discovered hah..hah..hah... Well, I am 55 going on 56, which is the age of aunty and besides I am not the glamorous type, so...
DeleteYou definitely have a good complexion for your age! I went 1U and there's travel fair too and every booth were busy, seem like everyone in a mood to travel!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Everyone else got so much time to travel except me. LOL!
