Kean Seng Kopitiam, Damansara Uptown

Sorry ah.... These days you see me writing about eateries in my kawasan and yet I cannot show you the actual food.

It's OK mah... I show you the menu and then you sendiri go and try hah..hah..hah... The photos were taken many weeks ago. I am still on the mend and hope to make a full recovery soon.

So I came upon this new kopitiam and it is situated right next to Hong Leong Bank Berhad.

They serve the usual breakfast and lunch items.

I see that they have three types of chee cheong fan - Soy Sauce Shallot Oil, Mushroom Gravy with Shrimp Sambal and Ipoh Style All Mix CCF

Ah! I also see kaya and butter toast - one of my childhood favorites.

Under the side dishes I see stuff that I can eat - Beef Brisket Soup, Beef Slices Soup and Beef Tendon Soup. I reckon these do not come with noodles. I must drop by and try once I recover.

They also have set lunch on weekdays from 12pm to 3pm. Eh, got curry mee

And then there is the usual beverages. Coffee would be my choice.

They also have their in-house products for sale.

Yesterday I was at home to rest and also attend a webinar. At least at home, during the breaks, I can go and lie down on my bed to relief the pressure on my back. One good thing that came from the pandemic is web based seminars. I love it because I don't have to travel down to KL but I do miss the buffets heh..heh...

This is my very dull looking dinner. Two lamb cutlets, two bacon wrapped beef burger patties and two fried eggs. I am on OMAD for 5 days in a row and so far so good.

You may have noticed the butter on my plate. That is only 1/4 of a stick of butter (one stick is 113g). I am trying to up my fat intake simply because the fats from the lamb and burger patties were rendered during the cooking process. We need fats in our diet. Just lean protein is not good.

Some of my fellow members at The Steak and Butter Gang can eat one whole stick of butter a day. Some do two sticks which is equivalent to one block of butter. I am quite amazed, I definitely cannot do that. Dr Elizabeth Bright, a hormone specialist, advises that good fats are good for women.

  1. This sure does not look like our traditional old school kopitiam...with prices to match some more! Love their blue & white ceramic crockery!

  2. I saw something I like in this kopitiam - CCF with Soy Sauce Shallot Oil, I like the simplicity of the flavour. I was attracted to the beef noodles selection too, must bookmark!
I like butter! I like to smoother a thick layer on my bread to indulge, but I know it's not good >_<

  3. Ah, the beef dishes look tempting. Thanks for letting me know that one stick of butter is 113g. What brand of butter do you eat? Salted or unsalted? My house only has salted SCS butter.
