30 Day Carnivore Challenge : Day #15

Chicken to the rescue! Again. It is a nice change from beef and pork.

These chicken whole legs were also picked up at Aeon yesterday and marinated overnight. I actually had these for dinner.

Today I was not feeling too good. Not because of the food that I have been eating. I had flu symptoms and although I am quite sure it is a normal flu, I tested myself. Negative. Phew!

I stayed home to rest and I will do another test tomorrow and if I am all good, I will get back to work. It is not great to stay home when there is a pile of stuff to do at the office.

So what was lunch? Same boring steak and eggs hah..hah...

Thankfully the ribeye was good but I admit, not as good as the premium ones from Feast Market. That's the trouble when you get used to the good stuff. You become so picky. Haiz!

I was hungry so this steak and the eggs filled me up very nicely.

Yesterday evening I was a little upset with my two girls because they hardly touched their dinner. Belle Belle ate just a bit and ran upstairs for her snooze.

Girl hardly ate at all and wanted to go back outside. So I let her. These days, I don't "fight" with them anymore. If they want to stay outside at night, I just let them be.

So this morning, I made them face their leftover food (which I kept covered) and Belle Belle ate most of hers while Girl ate just a bit. I suspect someone is feeding them again.

This evening, I just gave them half a can each of food and Belle Belle polished off her portion while Girl showed no interest. Both of them made for the door and so I said bye bye, see you tomorrow morning. Hah!

See. This is what children do to you. Ungrateful lot, they are.

  1. Flu and cough is on rise again. Pretty common. And also pretty norm to test yourself every day. Haha. Hope you get better and can go back to work. Really bored to be at home.

Once a while I will also buy those chicken thigh from Aeon. Few marinades they had, such as kimchi and Mexican flavour. I prefer the black pepper though.

  2. Love the colour of your roast chicken legs. Your girls have grown up and they want freedom, no more curfew for them.

  4. The whole chicken leg sure looks tasty. I would love the fried eggs too. The steak may be too much for my weak teeth. May you feel better soon.

    1. LOL! I make sure not to over cook the yolks these days. I have a brother who will not eat runny yolks.

  7. Wah, your chicken legs look so puffy and glossy with burnt edges which means extra flavour! ;) I also suspect the two stray cats I'm feeding are also eating somewhere else coz sometimes they can't finish their food (usually the female...when you're so adorable, more people would want to feed you....lol).

    1. heh..heh... I topped it off with butter during the last 5 minutes. I think so, there something so satisfying about feeding a cute kittie. That may also explain why my girls are so fat.
