Today I completed my second dose of vaccine. Yay! I arrived at the vaccination center 40 minutes before time and everything went smoothly.
This time there were a few big signs that said NO VIDEO/NO PHOTO. Well, I already took photos during the first appointment.
There has been many videos circulating showing people allegedly not being given their shots. I watched a video that showed the person being injected but the plunger of the syringe was not pressed. This is something very serious.
So today, I braved myself to look at the needle. The nurse who attended to me was very warm and friendly. She showed me the syringe which was filled with vaccine and as she injected me (I felt slight pain), she narrated what she was doing. The whole time I watched and I am assured that I received the vaccine.
There was a photo booth outside and I lined up to take a picture. Some people ahead of me just took a selfie while others engaged the assistance of fellow vaccinees to take a photo for them. Since I did not want anybody touching my phone, I took a selfie. I suck at selfies because that's something I hardly do.
So.
When I came home, I was ravenous. So I ate yesterday's leftovers with gusto. I have also seen videos of people claiming that they developed magnetic properties and spoons can stick to their arm.
When my partner showed me those videos, I told him that is nonsense and bullshit. Then I read that Rose experienced it and has a photo to prove. I mean, Rose is not the nonsensical type and I believe her. So in spite of myself (hah..hah..) I tried sticking a spoon to my arm and nope, no magnet wahahahaha!!!
Right now I am feeling very tired like I am going to get sick. I also feel cold (which is unusual because I always complain it is hot) and my head is slightly heavy. Maybe a fever is looming. But never mind. I will take it in my stride. I'll just sleep earlier tonight.
Yesterday, after taking photos of flowers, I decided to snap some pics of Belle Belle since I have never captured her on my DSLR.
It is not easy to take pictures of cats (or any animal) since you can't direct them. You could distract them if you have an assistant but since I was alone, I could not do that.
Oh? Looks like you are not magnetic, eh? LOL!!! Yes, I did hear of people getting hungry all the time and eating a lot. It seemed that our friend, Reanaclaire, did not fare too too well after the vaccination - I hope she's fully recovered, And is all right now.
ReplyDeleteI am still hungry and eating a lot LOL! Yes, hoping Reanaclaire has recovered.
DeleteCongrats to you for getting both your doses! Yay! ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐Thank you for all the photos Belle Belle and Girl. They must be thinking, what is mommy doing? Please take a good rest! Buy food delivery these few days, no need to cook! ๐๐
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am taking it easy these few days.
Deletetake good rest and hope u recover soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am much better today.
DeleteYou gave your followers/readers a glimmer of hope that they can finally see your face only to realise that you really suck at selfies? Haha! At least you don't suck 100%...can still see your eyes...lol! :D Congrats for completing your vaccination. I have zero reaction for both doses.
ReplyDeleteWell, taking snapshots of animals isn't the easiest thing to do I have to admit. To get your girls to look at you, you have to wave your hand or something (or snap your fingers) above your head to get their attention to look your direction and quickly snap the photo before they turn away (or use one hand only to operate your phone camera). Try this next time to see if you have better luck! ;)
Thank you! You are so lucky that you did not experience any side effects. It really sucks to be sick after the vaccination. LOL!
DeleteIt is quite hard to handle the DSLR with one hand as it is much heavier that the phone. I'll try that with the phone next time.
Oh. The vaccine made you hungry?? Somehow I dont eat much. Not that I lost my appetite, just I got full fast. Lol.
ReplyDeleteBelle so cute.
I am still eating a lot until today. LOL!
DeleteBelle says thank you to auntie Rose!
Congrats PH! I heard that those who are fully vaccinated can go for dine-in soon :p
ReplyDeleteThanks Puan Hazel! Ah..I am looking forwards to dine-in but might feel a little apprehensive at first hah..hah...
DeleteMine will be this coming Thursday, I hope the symptoms wont be as bad as the first one, I am still having body aches though it has been two weeks. What a weak body I have! Hope you are feeling better now...
ReplyDeleteYour more severe reaction might mean that your immune system is being activated. Do rest well before and after your second vaccination. I hope all goes well for you!
DeleteI was alone during my 1st dose and I didn't want stranger to touch my phone too (LOL), so I didn't take any photo. :(
ReplyDeleteYes, no need to take photo lah. My photo so lousy. LOL!
DeleteToday it is reported that KJ said Malaysians Can Now Record Their Vaccination Process To Avoid ‘Empty Syringe’ Incidents. In the first place videos and photos should be allowed if there is nothing to hide. Mine 2nd jab will be on Monday. It will be a drive through at the stadium. Some of my friends also experience very good appetite for the first few days after their jab. I hope I will have it easy after the 2nd jab.
ReplyDeleteExactly! I wonder why they did not allow during my second visit. All the best for your 2nd jab. I am still eating very well until today LOL!
DeleteWe have seen all your beautiful full faces of photos during school days. You would still look the same today. Showing half coconut in your selfie won't stop our imaginations. Good that you have taken 2 jabs and would survive for sure. I trust karma decides over all the people to live or to get eliminated.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with the colours and contrast aperture settings that you took! Beautiful cats even though they didn't look because they are animals lah. Cannot say cheese one. LOLOL
Aiyoyo..thank your for your compliments! Wait lah. On my 60th birthday I will publish my full face. LOL!
