Yesterday was the last day of EMCO but there was no hooray. But looking at the bright side, I can now accompany my partner for grocery shopping like usual and I can resume my morning walk. Yay!
But I still can't go to work and that is a bummer. Who knew I would miss going to work. Hah! Well, truth be told, if I had RM1,000,000.00 (or more heh) in my bank account and a few properties to boot, I would not give a hoot about not going back to work.
But alas, I am an ordinary person who has to make a living. I count my blessings that I am still standing after 47 days of being "jobless".
Today I fried some noodles. Yellow noodles and meehoon (vermicelli).
The yellow noodles were fried with sambal, chicken, carrots and celery. I did not use any green leafy vegetables since these noodles are meant for freezing.
It is very convenient to simply defrost, reheat and eat. In fact there were instances when I just left the container on the dining table to come to room temperature and ate without reheating. So lazy.
I can't understand why EMCO has been lifted when there are thousands of cases every day! Sarawak has gone into Phase 2 even though Kuching has hundreds every day...and the super-infectious Delta variant has made it into the state. Do what they want! I am not going out!!!
ReplyDeleteI reckon the NSC saw no point in extending the EMCO seeing that it did not result in cases coming down (in fact went up during EMCO, how ironic).
DeleteDining in is allowed but some places are not bothered to open for that purpose, lots of terms and conditions. I would much sooner stay home and eat our own-cooked noodles and bihun - I am sure none outside can be as nice as yours!
ReplyDeleteBelle looks super miserable!!!
DeleteFrom what I read, when there is an inspection, the officers often nitpick and make thing difficult. Well, thank you for the compliments!
DeleteBelle was tired I think after being outside all night long.
DeleteHas it been that long? 47 days? I have lost count. I have not tried eating defrosted frozen noodles. Should taste the same I guess from what you have written. May I have a bit from both your noodle dishes please? Tq! 😋😋😋Girl is so cute with her belly up looking at mommy pose. Belle Belle sure look hungover. As if she has been protecting the spirits from entering the house at night the whole night. Is that what you are doing outside, Belle Belle?
ReplyDeleteBelle Belle was like super tired and slept the whole morning. Surprisingly, she slept on the bed.
DeleteFried a lot of yellow noodle last year. Not this year though. I guess everyone was sick of it. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI much prefer fried meehoon than yellow noodle.
hah..hah..too much of a good thing and people get tired of it.
DeleteMe too would prefer meehoon.
Any fried noodles, mee or meehoon, I will like. I guess when a child is misbehaving, then strict monitoring has to be introduced. Of course, Girl is adorable (sleeping like that)...she has always been more adorable than Belle to me...lol (hehe, playing favouritism here!). Haiz, there's a place (apartment) further up from where I live kena barb wired already. Usually the uncontrolled cases seem to happen to those living in apartments (glad I'm not living in this type of housing). I guess it's because of the common shared spaces and lifts.
ReplyDeleteGirl will be very pleased to know that you favor her hee..hee.. It is usually the apartments and flats that kena barbed wire and your guess is correct. It must be awful for the occupants.
DeleteAh girl is always more manja than belle belle, that is why I like her more. My mom used to fry noodles with chunks of luncheon meat. Yums!
ReplyDeleteYou have such lovely blooms, I love looking at flowers, it cheers me up.
Enjoy your Sunday PH.
Ah Girl will be so happy to hear that! Oh...I must try to fry noodles with luncheon meat too. Will definitely be good!
DeleteEnjoy your Sunday too, Libby.
Your mihun looks so good!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
