I Dream of Clams

I am one of those people who are indifferent towards seafood. Give me chicken anytime. But someone made me crave for clams.

After reading her post on how many ways can you eat clams? I had to eat clams. Haiz ...........

First stop. Go Noodle House. For the ala carte soup with clams.

The soup that day was extra tasty. Must be the flavors from the clams.

That's the thing with clams. There's more shell than flesh. I should have brought a container to bring back the shells. These make good fertilizers.

One thing led to another. This time Fujisawa for the Deluxe Seafood Kimuchi

So good.

I think of fertilizer again.

So satisfied.

But it doesn't stop there.

I found myself at Two Sons Bistro

Yes, coffee.

Oh yes! Chili Clams

The gravy was so so so good. Dip the garlic toast in it, so heavenly. In fact I drank the gravy to the last drop.

Then I think to myself, I am paying so much for shells.

A whole lot of shells. My craving for clams, satisfied.

  3. I love clams too. So true, clams can be cooked or eaten in many ways. But we get more shells than the flesh. Better to buy and cook at home which I seldom do nowadays. Maybe one of these days, I might go shopping for clams.

  6. Oh dear, I've gotten you all excited about clams...hehe! ;) Hmmm, I don't remember seeing a clam option at Go Noodle House the last time I was there...must check that out. Initially, I was thinking why Two Sons Bistro gave you such a deep saucepan when the clams were barely filling up half the pan...but then I saw the aftermath...lots of shells...haha! :D P/S: Oh, I didn't know shells make good fertilizers. Then again, why would I...I don't have a green thumb.

That's probably one of the things we don't have in common...our love for seafood! I love seafood over all other meats. But glad I got you craving for clams...go, go, seafood! :D :D

    1. It's all your fault! hee..hee... but it was good as I found myself enjoying clams. I think this is the first time in my life that I ate so many clams. The clams I ordered at Two Sons Bistro was the starter portion, hence it barely filled the saucepan. The mains size is for 2-3 people. After some thought, it might not be a good idea to put those clam shells in the garden. It would attract rats!

  8. Haha. Sometimes people do get a sudden craving for food. Sometime it goes, but some doesn't.

I love such clam soup. Sweet and robust with flavour. I also enjoy the kung po style of stir fried clams.

  11. I remember at a Ramadan buffet at a hotel in KL. I saw the chef cooking clams so I asked for a serving and he gave me a huge one, filled my plate completely. As I walked away, he called me back and taking another plate, he filled it with more clams. That will save you the trouble of having to come back for more, he said. It was so very nice...and that night, I had my first ever gout attack. LOL!!!

  12. I am also not a fan of seafood dishes. I don't like the smell of fish. I only eat seafood dish if its well done. We usually boil the clam and it tastes really good.
