Beefie

I took a break from eating beef trimmings because I developed an aversion towards beef. Imagine that >.<

Maybe because I had been eating beef too often but then, I did enjoy them for a while. I thought I wouldn't get sick of it. But then I did >.<

Previously I gave leftover beef trimmings to my girls and they loved it. So I decided to buy two packets, cook and then eat my share and whatever leftover my kitties will get it.

These are very easy to cook in the air fryer. Now I use 180C for 16 minutes and they turn out very nice.

I choose the fatty pieces and the lean meat goes to my cats. Cats can't handle too much fat. They will "lau sai".

I have been trying different brands of locally made kimchi. My favorite is of course Ilmi Kimchi which my mum also enjoys.

So far I dislike the other local brands because they add sugar/high fructose corn syrup to the kimchi, giving it a sweet taste. Kimchi is not supposed to taste sweet (maybe some people like it like that). Besides I don't want the added sugar.

So I have written off KimG and Ikim Kimchi.

As for sauerkraut, since it is easy to make, I make my own. The ones sold at the supermarkets are pasteurized, so you do not get the benefits of live microbes.

Here I added chopped garlic and slice cili padi with tamari to make my beef trimmings even more ummph! That was a very good dinner.

  2. I was naughty yesterday. I bought a snack of white chocolate to eat after lunch and it really boosted my mood and gave me the adrenaline.

  3. I am same with your 🐈😺, I prefer lean beef because I think I will Lau sai too if I eat too much fatty bits. I think I may have polyps cos I react that way to fatty bits 😂

Thank you for selecting the kimchi for me too because I also don't like sweet kimchi. Thanks again 👍😊

    1. Many people can't handle too much fat in their food. That's what I found out when I joined the carnivore community. Their advise is to consume solid and not liquid fats.

  4. I'm one of those who definitely can't handle too much fat in my food. A little (if done right) is delicious, too much and I feel like puking...lol! ;D
