What's On Your Christmas Menu?

Christmas is coming in a couple of weeks. Everywhere at the shopping malls and eateries I see Christmas trees, big and small. But no, I have not been invited to any Christmas parties yet. Bah!

Nah, it is alright because I am admittedly not a party person. I'm pretty boring actually, preferring to stay at home instead of having a night out.

So for those of you hosting a Christmas party, what are you cooking and/or baking? (Or are you outsourcing hah..hah...)

With that in mind, I have decided to write a post that takes very little effort. I shall suggest to you what to cook/bake/roast, OK?

Easy stuff, I promise.

  6. Ah, your suggestions make a complete meal...got main, got salad, got potatoes, got dessert. ^_~ I agree, when hosting parties at home, roast chicken is definitely the fail-safe main as it is a very 'forgiving' protein to cook...you can't overcook it like steak! Yup...easy stuff...until the last one...a whole cake? O_o Nowadays when I hear the words 'cook for Christmas parties'...I cringe! >_< P/S: That must be one of the saddest aka poorest decorated trees I've had seen! :D

  7. i have no christmas parties to attend either! will just be going out for a few family dinners and friendly reunion lunches at several eateries in kl, and it looks like there'll be roast turkey on the menus - i hope the turkeys will be as tasty as your roast chicken recipes! :)

    1. A small dinner with family and friend is the best bet. I prefer a more intimate setting rather than a big bash. Strangely, I have yet to eat turkey!

  8. We're hosting a neighborhood gathering on Saturday, yikes! I'm making a beef tenderloin and a couple desserts. To make it easy, everyone is bringing a heavy appetizer. Love all your suggestions---there are a couple salads that caught my eye, and we love those smashed potatoes!
