We LOVE Chicken! We LOVE Chicken!

Cried the cats. Wahahahaha!!! Ma/grandma was not amused because it is very hard on the pocket to feed them with chicken.

I recently added chicken liver to their diet because liver is nutritious and also cheap.

This morning they were all at home. Very contented after a good breakfast of chicken fillet and liver.

Recently I purchased these two big ass stainless steel litter boxes.

I set up one first and maintained the regular plastic box for them to choose which to use and to get used to the new box. I was quite pleased to see the kittens going into the new stainless steel box.

This morning I set up the other new litter box and washed the plastic one. Each stainless steel box can accommodate two packets of tofu litter. Those black specks you see are deodorizing beads.

I wanted the kitties to get out of the way while I did my chores but they wanted to stick around.

Poodie is a big girl now and sometimes I confuse her with Kittie Kat.

And here is TuTu.

Tuuuuu......

Tu! Look over here!

That's more like it!

This Ah Boi is terrible. When she dashes into the house, she heads straight upstairs and I have to run after her and haul her ass down.

Poodie can't wait for her next meal this evening.

Chicken breast. Ah Mah has to figure out a more affordable way to feed them. So far the real meat experiment has been very fruitful in the sense that the litterboxes are cleaner (almost no odor). Real meat is more nutritious for them.

  1. You asked Tutu to look over here and she looked stunned! Lol! Why you did buy a stainless steel litter box instead of a plastic one which you had? Is there a hygiene reason?

    1. Yes, stainless steel is cleaner because plastic tends to retain smells and when scratched, bacteria is trapped in the scratch.

  3. Agree on real meat better for them than buying those processes cats food. My mum used to buy and cook chicken liver for her dogs too. Mix with rice. Now she doesn't have dogs so no need the trouble of feeding them. Hehe

  4. Wah, poodie is nearly same size as Kittie Kat? So fast! My friend's kitten is in heat at 4.5 months and kept crying. My friend is so anxious to wait till her heat cycle ends to take her snip snip so that she doesn't need to suffer the heat cycle again cos during in heat, her kitten kept crying and have no appetite to eat.

    1. In heat at 4.5 months? That's rather early. I must go consult the vet about my 3 girls.

    1. That's what I noticed. They go crazy when I served them chicken! Cookie would have enjoyed chicken liver.

  7. With blogging activity & side income, Grandma is able to buy chicken for Kittie Kat & grand kids + Girl's every meal. Every Saturday & Sunday I buy chicken liver, gizzard & chicken butt (2kg each) for the stray cats I am feeding from the wet market. These spare parts are cheap, like RM3/kg

    1. Sadly grandma's blogging activity is not monetized and there is no side income :( But thanks to your sharing now I can look for chicken butt and also gizzard to supplement the kitties' meals! Bless you for feeding the stray cats.

  8. I remember my mom used to cook rice mixed with some pig or chicken innard for our pet dog.
