An Exceptionally Good Lunch

Today after visiting dad at the nursing home, we made our way to Kar Hiong (again) for lunch. It looks like this will be our port for Saturday lunches.

I told my brother that I don't mind going to Kar Hiong every week, after all, it is just once a week. Besides the food is good at reasonable prices. There is no need to go anywhere fancy, just a good old tai chow will do.

Today's orders were :

Crispy Pork Belly. Nyums! We loved this! Underneath were some cucumber and carrot pickles that complemented the pork belly beautifully.

Our favorite Honey Pepper Mushrooms. We can't get enough of this.

Sweet Potato Leaves with Garlic. I love this vegetable!

Sorry for this messy photo. This is the Taucheow Steamed Tilapia. I forgot to snap photo when the fish was served heh..heh....

We enjoyed our meal today as we thought everything tasted so so good. Next week we will try other dishes but I suspect the Honey Pepper Mushroom will remain in the order hee..hee...

I was very naughty this afternoon. That was my early dinner.

  1. I agree with your early dinner! Yums! ๐Ÿ˜‹ I am so very tempted to go eat this mushroom dish and crispy pork belly dish. Since two of us can't eat so much, I will bring the remaining food home in my trusted containers. Hopefully one day I can get to try these two dishes.
