A Merry Meaty Christmas

Merry Christmas to my Christian friends and readers! I am not exactly celebrating, but just feeling thankful that I can sit back and relax for a bit.

Yesterday, Christmas eve, was my opportunity to do some tidying up and simple cooking. It is nice to be able to take a breather and let go of stress. Time to chill out, yeah!

I had a very meaty and eggy early dinner.

Underneath that mountain of protein is some rice (I am trying to finish up the packet of rice in the pantry). My toppings were a minced beef omelette, fatty beef trimmings, pan fried ribeye (the last piece in my freezer) and some leftover sliced onions.

All washed down with an iced kopi C heh...heh....

Now I don't use evaporated milk because it is highly processed with added thickeners and chemicals. So I now use Farm Fresh full fat milk.

It has only one ingredient - fresh milk.

Grabfood cannot get like that.

That looks like a lot of food. At buffets (haven't been to one in such a long time) I can go 3 or 4 rounds and if you combine the total volume of food, probably it will look like that.

Ah.... the perfect Lap Food! I ate while watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is pretty much B-grade and gory. Then I watched Curry & Cyanide which is a very interesting documentary on a murder case in India.

I also watched Run Rabbit Run but cabut-ed upstairs halfway through. My partner was away and this movie is very eerie. Takut!

Today, I also did some easy cooking.

I bought a packet of bacon chips because it is cheaper.

Saute in a pan. No need to put any oil because the bacon fat will be rendered.

Add some chopped onions.

Pour in beaten eggs.

Oh ya, I also added some precooked minced beef.

I also air fried two chicken chops.

 And some chicken livers.

This is my Christmas dinner. It is my OMAD and I will be eating early.

Some wise words from Motivational Doc.

    1. I prefer it that way, a quiet subtle celebration with immediate family.

  4. PH, Merry Christmas to you and your family! This Christmas most probably my busiest one so far. I got dinner with friends on 23, followed by house warming party till late. Visited hubby's ex-colleague on the Christmas Eve, followed by dinner with her. On Christmas Day, 3 of us went to a short trip to a Petting Zoo at Batang Berjuntai, dinner at Kuala Selangor then lastly fireflies boat cruise.
