Covid-19 MCO : Day #21 (Ayam Penyet)

That's it. I am taking a break from cooking. I am still nursing a bad back and last night (and very early this morning) my cat was whining at the top of her voice.

That sure ruined my sleep. She wanted to be let out of the house even though I let her roam outside for the earlier part of the day. Nope! I was firm with her and held my ground.

This morning she muka moyok.

Jual mahal konon.

Tarik harga with Mommy.

Tak layan when Mommy call.

Haiz!

As usual she had her snooze when we went downstairs.

She is really emo today. So I just let her be. Hope she feels better later.

So. Lunch. Pre-ordered yesterday. I chose the 11am to 12pm slot. I wanted to eat at 12pm but I know that they always deliver closer to the later end of the spectrum.

The guy had a problem finding me so I asked him if he could locate 1 Utama and work his way from there. After I took delivery from him, as I was about to snap a pic of the box, I noticed that it was the wrong order. I rushed outside and luckily for me, he was still tinkering with his delivery pouch and he found my correct order. Phew!

What's in the box is rarely pretty. I had to take the contents out in order to eat properly. Inside was curry leaf infused rice, a whole chicken leg, some tempeh, three slices of cucumber, bits of raw cabbage, a container of sambal and a bigger container of kicap manis.

And no, unfortunately I could not make it pretty out of the box. In terms of taste, it was not bad. The ayam goreng berempah was generous with rempah and if there is something to complain, it's that there was not enough sambal and too much kicap.

Today's order came with a free gift.

Dinner is this funny looking sandwich. Now I am going downstairs to continue watching Tiger King on Netflix. I was curious what the hoo hah was about and I'd say it's something to be filed in the guilty pleasure category. I have never watched so much TV in my life!

  1. I wanted to laugh at your food presentation. They always looked miserable inside the boxes and worse when we tried to arrange on the plate. Just makan shiok and be happy la.

I also watched too much TV until my round buttock also kemek.

You need to buy toys for your cat!! She will enjoy playing with you like a baby. That's your role and duty as Mummy Cat. Meow!!

  2. Tv marathon during this time huh?? 😁

It sure looked messy and unappetizing after you took the rice out. As long as the taste isnt so bad, it is fine.

  4. Good for you...you held your ground. My advice is to treat cats like children...if you give in to them once, they'll have the upper hand and climb over your head...haha! ;D Never mind she tak layan, eventually she'll come round especially when you're the bearer of food.

Wow, this dahmakan rider is really teruk...can't find the place and give you the wrong order pulak! :O They're always stingy with chilli and their vegetables are always on the raw side. >_< Since the food comes in a tin foil container, what I do is reheat it in the oven...it tastes much better after that. P/S: The gap between your sandwich is very wide...signalling there's plenty in-between. ^_~

  7. Our PM calls it the circuit breaker by closing schools and allowing only takeaways at eateries. Hopefully the cases will drop after this circuit breaker in effect and we can return to our normal life as soon as possible. Casinos and toto outlets also close. Lucky still got blogging to keep me sane and i can vent out my anger and stress and boredom in my blog, lolx.

    1. Yes, I listened to his speech and I noted he used the term "circuit breaker". Very impressive PM Lee can speak in 3 languages.

    1. Tiger King is entertaining. Before watching this show, I did not know that in USA (you have been many times!) there are people who privately own big cats ie tigers and lions. They even have their own zoo!
