Bye Daiso

Yesterday when I went to The Starling, I saw that Daiso has shut down.

I already noticed some weeks ago that their merchandise was diminishing and they don't seem to be stocking up. So I relayed my observation to the cashier who then informed me that they would be closing down.

If I remember correctly, she told me that their last day is 24-01-2024. So before they shut down, I went to buy a few things that I needed.

These are my old socks that need to be replaced very badly.

They are all out of shape and some lost their partners (go where also I don't know).

So I bought 4 pairs of socks, a hair brush, batteries and a packet of razor blades (for my lahling).

I wanted to pick up a few more stuff but sadly they were closed when I walked past yesterday. In its place will be HWC Coffee coming in May 2024. If I am not wrong, HWC Coffee already has an outlet in Damansara Utama. I thought I saw it somewhere in the neighborhood.

On my walk along the Damansara Jaya shophouse, I saw these two kitty cats. Whenever I see a cat (or two) I can't resist the temptation to say hello.

And give the kitty a head scratch hee..hee..

I bump into this one quite often. She is my favorite DJ cat. She is so cute I feel like hauling her home.

No ma! Don't you dare! Don't worry lah, Girl. With you, Belle Belle and Kittie Kat, ma already kepala pusing.

Back at Damansara Utama, I passed by Yit Cha Kaw Kaw Kopitiam. I could smell the pastries and glanced at the display. Thankfully, there was no temptation or compulsion to drop by and eat those pastries. No will power or discipline was exerted at all.

I braved the lunch crowd to eat the Hanoi Beef Pho (no noodles) at Pho Real. The food court was so crowded and I was lucky to get a table. But I don't think I want to come at lunch hour again.

I am eating oxtails again. They say that if you crave a certain meat, it means that your body wants the nutrients that is present in that meat. I don't know how true that is.

Anyway, have a listen to Dr Ken Berry's short presentation on A Proper Human Diet. I love his cowboy accent.

  1. I had Vwietnamese noodles that day. Nice but they use the big laksa bihun. I prefer pho.
