Covid-19 MCO : Day #67 (Work Queue Work)

Today is Saturday but I went to work. It was a last minute sort of thing because something came up and I didn't want to spend time in the office next week.

So sien. I had a few things planned at home but had to postpone. How I wish I could be like my cat. Just sleep and chill the whole day.

Since it was a last minute change of plans, I did not have time to prepare my lunch. So I had to call Grabfood.

Since there is a 50% promo and today is the last day, why not?

As always the food is delicious.

Tomorrow is Hari Raya and to my Muslim friends, I am so sorry for you because this Raya is not so happening. No balik kampung and no open house. Virus yang raya bukan kita. But whatever it is I wish all of you and your loved ones a safe  and happy celebration.

Since Aeon opens only at 1pm tomorrow, I decided to do my grocery shopping today at Jaya Grocer instead.

Headache. There was a long queue. This is the queue outside the entrance.

One big round at the basement.

The new normal of wearing face mask and queuing up just to get into a shop is no fun.

Patience!

At last I am nearing the entrance of Jaya Grocer

When I got inside, I was very irritated with one lady. She was checking each and every broccoli, inspecting every single one, taking her own sweet time.

Seriously lady! If you are the only one at that section, fine. But there are other customers who also want to buy vegetables from that section. This being the MCO and all, be considerate and speed up your purchase!

So I went to get other stuff and when I returned to the same spot she was still there. So I quickly grabbed a bittergourd and got the hell out of there.

Later I felt hungry. I decided to go for a walk to find something to eat. That's when I spotted a long queue at Satay Kajang.

Maybe people are buying for buka puasa?

Luckily for me, there was no queue at Family Mart where I got my snacks.

Yummeh! I love Family Mart's sandwiches. They are always fresh and tasty. I also love the their Cranberry Flaxseed Loaf.

Yesterday, my cat had a snooze on yet another Daiso towel that she previously refused to go near.

So blissfully asleep.

How I wish I could sleep as soundly as her.

See how her tails curls over her legs.

It is 6pm now and I am hungry ........

  2. I think your cat has put on weight after you have adopted her. I only go shopping when I have the time because sometimes the queue can be quite long and slow moving. I want to snooze like your cat too. So cute and so adorable when she is asleep.

  3. How long did you queue before you get inside Jaya grocer? Good that you managed to buy quite a number of vegetables and other items.

  4. Thanks for the photos of Girl Girl though you are busy. See her sleeping so syiok I also want to sleep like her. The daiso towel must have your scent on it. That's why she is ok to sleep on it now.

  5. You ordered healthy lunch via grabfood so what did you eat for dinner? Were you back home at 6 pm or still in the office?

  6. Must try family mart flaxseed cranberry loaf since you recommend it. Guess it would be a long while until I go to family mart.

    1. The cranberry loaf is very soft and has sweet and sour taste from the cranberries. I think you will like it.

  7. Jaya Grocer has been having long queue until the car park's entrance since a month ago. I surrender la. I agree that lots of weird shoppers linger inside there like that lady.

Your cat's tail curls like that during sleep means she feels insecure. Their whiskers and tails are like their antennae.

I always love to hang around inside Family Mart all over Japan. Their outlets are sometimes huge like a small supermarket and even sell branded perfumes like CK, Versace, Dior and etc. The best is eating their fish balls with soup.

    1. The fishballs in soup that you mentioned must be Oden. I have seen people eating it but somehow it does not strike my fancy. I just love the sandwiches and breads. So sedap!

  10. Have you seen one where the tail is curled over the face? Well, Cookie can demonstrate that for you! ;) I think you should just give up on the Daiso towels and concede defeat of ever reclaiming back your sofa! :D

I've not stepped into a supermarket since the MCO began (coz I'm afraid of the long queues) preferring to do my grocery shopping (for produce) at smaller shops & wet markets. Other necessities, send my spouse out to buy. I also detest people taking their own sweet time to choose their produce. For goodness sake, think of others, don't linger, just grab and get the heck out of there. If everyone is quick about it, the queue won't be so long.

I can't help but be a kepochi and peek into your basket of goodies...and I see mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, broccoli & asparagus...all ingredients that point to them being used in a steak dish soon...kekeke! ;D As for the others, let me make a guess...celery for a soup base?..healthy bittergourd stir-fry for your partner?...and mee goreng in the horizon? Hihihi! :D

    1. Oh? Tail curled over the face? My girl has not done that before hah..hah.. Trust Cookie to do wonderful things! hee..hee.. I would love to see that :) I have already conceded defeat >.<

Yes, yes, there will be a steak dish soon hee..hee.. how clever of you! I use the celery when making bone broth and the bittergourd is meant to be steamed. Post on that coming up soon. And yes, mee goreng for my partner hee..hee...

  11. Ya this raya is really not happening and kind of depressing. Need to queue, take temp and scan id at supermkts etc is really no fun and troublesome. I miss my freedom.

  12. I like onigiri, bread, sandwiches and ice cream from family mart. The oden which is their star product doesn't ignite my interest too, they are all processed food (except the radish which is really good, soft and full of flavours) and the price is not really cheap.

    1. Every time I visit Family Mart, there will always be the smell of the oden hah..hah... not an appetizing smell to me. I must try their onigiri. I also like their soft serve ice cream.
