So I am showing you the ugly side of me. The one that can throw a tantrum while peeling eggs. Look at the poor eggs, so violently treated.
Have you ever peeled eggs and the shell (or rather the membrane under the shell) sticks to the egg? I know that you are supposed to immerse the eggs in ice water after cooking to allow the egg to contract and therefore pull away from the membrane.
But I don't have time for that early in the morning.
This was my lunch at the office today.
I felt very tired after a long day but managed to go to Jaya Grocer to pick up some supplies.
It was quite hard to maintain social distancing as I noted people just don't bother. They will come near you when you are picking stuff from the shelf instead of waiting a little bit for their turn. I'll say our fellow Malaysians lack self-discipline.
Anyway, let's see what I bought.
Shao Hsing Hua Tiao cooking wine and Narcissus Rice Vinegar. I want to make pickled green chilies but could not get green chilies. Haiz...
I re-stocked my peanut butter. This is my favorite brand because it is so delicious.
I was running out of baking paper and my usual brand, Glad, was not available.
I needed more eggs for baking and had to settle for this variant of the Nutriplus brand. I also picked up a tray of duck eggs. I love duck eggs!
I bought this Mission wraps because I want to make my own burrito.
My eyes were naughty and I bought Oreo cookies. When I am in the munchie mood, I can finish the whole box in one sitting. Bad.
Today my cat did not want to eat kibble (in the evening). I gave her kibble instead of tuna after the episode the other day. She was fine with kibble for lunch and dinner yesterday. But this evening she was all whiny and meowy. So irritating.
My dinner this evening. A simple soup. The eggs were so nicely peeled hah..hah...
She came to kacau me.
She even nibbled at my tee shirt.
Then I sort of figured that she wanted to eat something else. So when I served her Whiskas tuna, she went for it. Gobble..gobble..gobble... I took away the kibble. So picky!
Then as usual she wanted to go out. Made so much noise.
I was quite tired mentally and all this whining was driving me up the wall. I was like a tired working mother coming home to a troublesome kid.
She even tried clawing at the door.
I cannot tahan, so I left her and came upstairs to write this post hah..hah...
I'm not working tomorrow, so I can spend a bit of time blog hopping and replying to comments. Here's hoping for a lovely day tomorrow lepak-lepak at home!
