Covid-19 MCO : Day #64 (Last Night's Dinner)

When I got home yesterday evening, I was hungry. It is so nice to open the fridge to find containers of ready cooked food. All the hours spent on Sunday prep was so worth it.

This was how it looked on Sunday.
All I had to do was take a container out to heat in the microwave oven.

And then I added sliced chilies. You may have noticed the cubes of roasted potatoes that were not in the Sunday food prep post. Well, those were added after the photos were taken.

I ran out of kayciap so I had to make do with this ABC sauce.

Just a few squirts of sauce on the chilies will do the job. Can't wait to dig in.

Whoops! My uninvited guest showed up right on cue.

I can't get away from her, when there is food.

Mommy : What? What you want? (buat-buat tak tahu)

Girl : I want to eat!

Mommy : I already gave you food. Go and eat your fish. Go!

Girl : Don't want!

Mommy : Why? Why don't want?

Girl : My fish not nice. I want yours!

And so the feeding frenzy began. Sorry for the blurry pics. She was moving a lot. She loves to eat. Just like her Mommy.

After dinner, I took a shower and settled down for a few more episodes of Breaking Bad.

But before that...

heh..heh.. got desserts. Mangoes that I bought from Jaya Grocer. I like to sprinkle with salt before I eat.

Actually....to be honest...

heh..heh.. I don't know why I am addicted to Oreos. It's just a passing phase I hope.

This one is with dark and white chocolate flavored cream. I have also tried the chocolate and peanut butter but that one is not nice. The original flavor is still the best.

I found this pic of me tucking into bak chang. Do you see the stalker in the photo? hah..hah...

  2. You have a very unconventional way of eating stuff I must say. I've never attempted to eat salmon with ABC sauce or mangoes with salt (though I'm curious to try the latter). ^_~

All cats love to eat so it's not unusual to find them lurking at our feet. Cookie does that all the time except he isn't as aggressively vocal as your Girl. He will wait patiently (and silently) till I'm ready to feed him some.

    1. Yes, salmon (so high class) with kicap (so common) is so unheard of hah..hah.. I like mangoes with salt because it brings out the flavors. Just like eating papayas with lime juice. More oomph!

Your Cookie is so well behaved. My Girl will make a lot of noise and is very demanding. Haiz...

    2. Ooo, I love to eat papayas with lime juice too...and now that you say it brings out the flavours (like sea salt on ice cream), I'm sure I want to try mangoes with salt! ;)

    3. Hope you like the mango and salt. I do that with pineapple too.

  3. I love that ABC sauce as it is the spiciest chilly sauce on this planet. I didn't know it is top selling brand in the whole Indonesia and the world!!! I often use that to make salsa sauce for party dips with tortilla chips.

Mangoes with salt is a must try. My doctor at Klinik Utama told me that my wife and I have strange blood test results that showed a couple having salt deficiency. He asked me whether we purposely avoided salt and I said no way. If a siblings have that deficiency could be genetic issues. So he advised me to eat salt as much I wish to and not to worry about it. Now my sports trainer advised me to take more salt because I often got painful leg cramps during sleep!

I must nibble these Oreo cookies with hot nescafe in the office. I miss those days.

    1. Wah, you are lucky. Can eat as much salt as you like without getting hypertension.

    2. TM : Are we talking about the same ABC sauce? The one I makan is like kicap manis. Not spicy. The Klinik Utama doctor is Dr Ng right? Yes, lack of salt can cause cramps. But please don't take too much, nanti hypertension hah..hah..

  8. Super love your salmon meal. Is that salmon or salmon trout? I just bought many pieces of frozen salmon trout going to be delivered on Friday. Well, there is no such thing as salmon trout, they are just trouts but the marketing people like to fool us here so call them salmon trout. Did you buy your salmon from Jaya Grocer? How much?
