Covid-19 MCO : Day #48 (What MCO???)

I went to office today. It was thankfully very smooth and peaceful. I managed to catch up on my work and I am very pleased.

When I arrived, I noticed that there were many cars parked all along the shop lots. It looked like it was just another day pre-MCO. Prior to this, the place was almost deserted (when I passed by when going to Taman Megah to buy oink oink during the MCO).

After I had my lunch, I decided to go out to buy a few necessities from the pharmacy. When I stepped out of the office, all along the way to the shop, there were so many cars.

Some shops were still closed while others were open while the rest looked like they were getting ready to open another day (shutters half closed).

Right across this zebra crossing is Village Park. This place is always jam packed everyday. Of course it is different now. I am pretty sure they still do good business via delivery/pick up.

Annie-1 is open. I miss their wanton mee and curry mee

Eh, Xing Fu Tang's signboard is not there anymore. What happened? Sudah tutup?

Look at the number of cars parked along the sidewalk. Does this look like MCO?

It was such a hot day too and I was sweating under my mask.

Ipoh Tuck Kee opened not too long before the MCO.

I heard that their wat tan hor is very good.

Then I went to The Starling because I needed to pick up some anti-bacterial handwash from Guardian. At the entrance to the mall, you will have your temperature taken.

The food court is open. I did not go in since I was not looking for food. Here, you will have your temperature taken again. I guess this is another new normal, having someone hold a beeping a "gun" to your head before you enter a building.

The other entrance is sealed.

Kakatoo is open. I observed that not all restaurants are open.

Then I saw something that almost brought tears to my eyes.

My favorite yogurt place is open! But no. I did not have the confidence to indulge at a time like this.

Popular Bookstore is open too.

Yup, temperature to be taken before entering. I wonder if those things do anything to your brain. Everywhere you go you kena zap.

Looking at the number of cars on the road and people walking around, I wonder if the government made the right decision to ease restrictions.

Anyway, I am glad I could get my work done and I feel less worried. I am hoping to wrap more stuff up and not come back until the MCO is lifted.

I missed my cat. When I got home today, she was at my neighbor's house but she jumped over when I called out to her.

Yesterday she did another Hindustan stunt.

This time instead of the flower pot, she hid behind the doorway. Can you see her boyfriend?

Peekaboo!

Both playing hard to get.

Haiz.....

I will be working again tomorrow. So I gotta go!

  1. Oh, I miss your post. Thanks for writing. Thanks for Girl Girl photos. You keep your door open just for her to play with the bf? Or you always keep your door open? Is your neighbour cat friendly too? Just scared she may not like Girl Girl going over to her place.

    1. Yeah, it will take some time before business picks up again. My sentiments exactly, if the states choose to take the stricter route, why not?

  7. Your cat and her Hindustani movie stun looks funny. I am glad you're feeling upbeat and doing are fine. Thanks for blogging daily. I really enjoy reading your blog.
Some people are so terrified by the media fearmongering that they're depress and too afraid to leave their homes.
I don't like going to shopping malls now - get zapped many times with temperature gun & its hard to breathe walking with a mask on.

    Take care & be brave.

  9. And read in news, Petaling been marked red zone again. Bet it will be if suddenly all open and everyone roam freely again. We over here in Sarawak still pratise the MCO with most businesses not open. If want to open, need to apply permit.
