Covid-19 MCO : Day #57 (What Does He Eat?)

I have been showing you what I eat, be it sendiri masak or delivered by Grabfood. Some of you (or rather one of you) are curious what does my partner eat?

You know he does not eat anything pedas, does not eat beef and is not in favor of outside food (for the time being).

So. Not to worry. I don't have to cook for him everyday. The man is perfectly capable in the kitchen, so he DIY his dinners. Lunch I food prep for him as usual like herehere and here.

First up.

Porridge. He loves porridge. I don't.

His pork and veggie soup.

This one got corn.

Eat with rice.

Baked beans with dunno what.

This one more epic got rice, fried egg, ladies fingers and stewed pork.

Another day got long beans. Looks quite good, doesn't it?

Porridge with pumpkin. Ish! Didn't put the salted egg on a plate.

Same thing again.

Sometimes dinner can be like breakfast.

Apple thrown into milk and muesli. I can't eat like this.

Porridge with omelette and sardines.

French toast. This one was breakfast I think.

Noodles tossed with some leftover pork dish.

This one I made for him.

And this one too.

And to my Girl's fans, this is her sleeping upstairs.

She always sleeps at this spot.

  1. Your man likes to eat rice and porridge. Anything would do as long as got rice.

    1. You are right! He is a rice person, no rice means the meal is incomplete.

  2. At first glance, I read the sentence in your second paragraph as - "You know he does not eat anything" ... and i thought, wow, how does he survive?! :D it does look like he likes a lot of moisture in his food - lip-wetting soups and creamy gravies! :)

  4. Oh-mee-gosh! I can't believe just how boring your partner's food is (he eats even healthier than you!). The only thing that attracted me were the nice blue plates! :O Even more difficult to believe was that you actually took (or had) photos of his food. How to take photo of something so uninspiring, ah? Hahaha! :D Even his more epic meal of fried egg (this one still ok), ladies finger (steamed without any seasoning or sauce? how to eat? no taste lah!) & stewed pork (all lean meat..you also won't want?! >_< I actually love porridge but not like the way your partner cooks his though...kekeke! ;)

I was never curious of what your partner eats...I just felt for you since you can't even have a day off from cooking when you order food delivery as you still need to cook his meals. Now that I know he can cook his own meals, I think I can do without seeing anymore of his dull, drab meals...wuahahahaha! ;D

    1. hah..hah...he is practical when it comes to food preparation. Simple and not complicated. That is why he is easy to feed, which makes my job of food prepping for him easy.

So now you know that I don't have to cook for him everyday. I won't have to show anymore of his meals since they would be very much the same hah..hah..

  6. I can testify that most Penang lang dont eat beef and love white porridge or with sweet potatoes inside. It is just strange that he doesn't eat pedas which sounds like he came from mainland. All his other meals made me giggle just because he came from same hometown. He is so easy going and reminds me of my wealthy Korean roommate. He would simply toss anything to mix with Kim Chi or Cornflakes because I didn't cook for him as I was very busy.

    1. My partner is easy to please when it comes to food - just keep it simple and either rice or porridge with a main dish and a vege, he is happy.

  7. Oh thanks for this post. I can eat all the dishes here, very suitable cos no heavy seasonings. I was laughing when I read baked beans with dunno what cos I look at the photo and I couldn't figure out what it is too - could it be omelette? Your dishes for him look nicer in presentation and more flavourful too I guess. Muesli milk and apple sounds tasty to me. And I could eat those congee too. He is so diligent to be cooking dinner every day for himself except for those breakfast for dinner which I sometimes do so too, eat cereal as dinner. So was he surprised that you take photos of his food. You must have been taking photos of his food for a long time to have so many photos before being asked what he eats.

  8. And another thing is how do you both divide the time on who gets to use the kitchen to prepare own dinner? Because sometimes you cook dinner for yourself too.

  9. And since he Cooks his own dinner, does it mean he does his own grocery shopping separate from yours?

  10. I wonder why girl girl likes to sleep there instead of on the sofa in the living room downstairs. Sayang lah to see her sleeping on the floor.

    1. I guess she likes warm parquet floor or it could be too cold in living room? Or it is quieter upstair coz it is away frm noises (tv noise, kitchen cooking noise, outside roads noise etc)

    2. Cats loves height and that was why Fei Mau sat on the high walls outside to watch the world go by. All pet shops sell cat stools and mini tree houses in various heights for these felines to climb and scratch its itchy nails. Why dogs don't have these items? They are different and not so fussy.
