My Poor Ah Boy

One morning, I opened my door and was greeted by my two part time pets. mew...mew....mew.... I take it that they were hungry and were asking for food.

I had a can of tuna in the pantry. So I opened the can and transferred the contents into a plastic tub. I put the tub on the ground and I naively expected the two to share.

When Ah Boy tried to take a bite, Kitty Cat gave him a swipe with a loud NGEOW!!!! Whoa! Ah Boy backed off.

The poor fellow looked on wistfully as Ah Girl enjoyed her meal.

He looked up at me, hoping that I could help. But I had no more tuna.

He waited patiently. Hoping that Ah Girl would leave him some scraps.

Every now and then, they would glare at each other.

I felt sorry for Ah Boy. I made a mental note to get more tuna and to be sure to divide among the two.

Sorry boy. I feel for you.

He is looking positively sulky.

She kept on eating and eating and eating.

Poor fellow.

In the end, Ah Girl had her fill and there were some leftovers in the tub. Ah Boy finally got to have a taste. To be continued......

  1. Poor Ah Boy! Maybe he expects you to shoo Ah Girl away, pour half the food into another bowl to give him and let Ah Girl have the other half. Can't wait for part 2 of your cat story.

    1. I like observing how they behave. The girl is quite a big bully.

  5. seeing how a lot of humans also don't want to share their food, i guess cats are even less selfless, heheh ;)

  6. Cats don't share...especially when there's good food (like us)....haha! :D It's best to give them separate plates but even so she might eat from his plate too. She's obviously more bossy than him. I've seen kittens do that to their mothers too. I think Ah Boy is younger than Ah Girl so has to wait his turn (respect the elders?)...hihihi! ;) These two cats are not skinny cats, so they must be someone's cats. They're very clever to come to you for handouts. Let me guess part 2 of the story, when Ah Girl is done, Ah Boy doesn't want the leftovers?

    1. Oh, she is one bossy girl! When I play with Ah Boy, she will come and give him a swipe and then she looks up at me and give me her killer stare >.< When she was done with her meal, there were some leftovers and Ah Boy took over. Not much for him though. He seems quite docile and follows her around in spite of the fierce treatment.
