Fridays and Saturdays Are Happy Days!

Friday being the end of the work week is obviously a happy day. Saturday, lagi happy, right?

But some Saturdays I work. So I make my (working) Saturdays happy days by having nice food and sometimes I treat myself to a movie.

I was craving for a burrito bowl. Big serving. I like!

I was very pleased that they now serve it in a proper bowl not like the last time. It was yummilicious good. I ate a lot of beans. Beans = gas. When I let rip at home, my partner asked "You ate Mexican food is it?" Well.....

On my way down from the movie, I spotted Annabelle's sister. I am a sucker for horror movies.

She turned out to be Nam Heong's mascot.

This was lunch one Friday.

Kimchi chicken burger. The sweet potato fries were good.

Dinner one Friday at Chili's. As you can see, my partner ate the same old thing.

Me? I had the crispy chicken tacos.

Gah!!! So good!!!

It came with cilantro rice, beef bacon and yup, beans. My partner braced for a stormy evening wahahaha!!!

This is my once a month ice cream treat for myself on a Friday. I had the Baseball Nut and Pralines and Cream flavor. So good!

A recent Friday evening meal with my lahling at Senya Isetan Eat Paradise. We actually went to Chili's but was told that waiting time is 35 minutes so we headed here.

I had the stir fried pork with kimchi set. My lahling had the Tokyo Pork Don with ladies fingers (same old thing).

It was a busy evening, the place was cramped and crowded and service was not too good. We were seated elbow to elbow with the next table. Our table was not level and it was rickety.

When we were served, the server did not give us utensils. My lahling said to me "You must write in your blog that the service is lousy" hah...hah....

But I'll have to say that the kimchi pork was scrumptious. It was a big portion too.

On my walkabouts I saw this little cafe "Avocadian". It's not open yet at the time of writing.

It looks like another bubble tea place is opening soon. Xing Fu Tang. I can't understand the hype about bubble tea since I am not a fan.

The newly opened Tiger Sugar outlet at The Starling is doing roaring business.

Then one Saturday, I spotted these two gentlemen checking out the massage chairs. One of them appeared to be sound asleep hee..hee...

Well, here's to more happy Fridays and Saturdays!

  1. I see you are a fan of Kimchi now with kimchi burger at Nene and kimchi pork at Senya. Good that you pamper yourself with food.

  3. You do like Nene Chicken, eh? I went once, not all that impressed, don't think we'll go again especially when it is kind of out of our way.

We have something special for lunch on Sundays only now, not Friday through till Sunday like before to make up for the time my girl spent in her school in the jungle throughout the week. Now home already, mum cooks every day...so no need to pamper so much on weekends anymore. Hehehehehe!!!!

    1. Nene Chicken is OK, I go there once in a blue moon. I don't see many customers, so I guess it's not so happening to most.

Mum's home cooking is the best pampering to me!

  5. I think I'm now getting well-versed with your partner's food choices too...the sante fe salad, pork don & chicken kaarage...hahaha! ;) The chicken tacos you had, that looks like a meal built for two! :O Whoa, ice cream only once a month...that's pretty impressive for someone who likes to eat ice cream (luckily I can do with or without).

    1. hah..hah... he is very predictable :D The chicken tacos are not that big, just nice for me hee..hee... The BR ice cream is a once a month treat because it costs RM20.50 for two scoops (there was a discount of RM2.50 that day or else it's RM22.50) so I can't afford to eat so often.

  9. Aunty Nam Heong would not be happy if she know someone thought that she was Annabelle's sister LOL
The kimchi pork is very big portion indeed, paired with Japanese rice, good stuff!
I saw that going-to-open XiFuTang but didn't notice the Tiger Sugar when I was at the mall last Saturday.

    1. LOL! You should try the kimchi pork. It's very good lah. I noticed that the crowd at Tiger Sugar has died down. The Tamagoyaki kiosk sudah closed down and a new kiosk is opening.
