Mich'sology

There is a new cafe in the neighborhood and I don't know how to pronounce its name. MICH'SOLOGY. MICH-SO-LOGY or MISHO-LOGY?

I got to know about it from a flyer distributed at the office and I immediately googled to find out more from here. This place offers granola bowls, fuel bowls (pretty much like poke bowl), small bites, coffee and fruit juice. And I liked what I saw.

So I popped in a day later for an early lunch.

Oh my! Pretty in pink. So feminine. Decidedly so, since the proprietor is a young lady by the name of Michelle (a name my mum wanted to name her next child but instead my brother came out).

Since I was the only one there, I got to sit anywhere I liked.

It's a small menu.

I was on my low carb day and to my delight, the Signature Fuel Bowl offers a low carb version where you can have salad as a base instead of rice. This one you order via the order chit that is placed on every table.

The pencils are inside the canister. They are very short pencils.
The price differential between the regular (RM18.90) and large (RM19.90) bowl is RM1.00. Quantity wise, you get one extra scoop/sides/toppings with the large serving.

I would love to try the granola bowl but that would have to wait.

And I am happy that coffee is on the menu.

So there. My large Fuel Bowl. Salad base, tuna, salmon (both fish raw but you have option for cooked ones), avocado, carrots, cucumber, chili flakes, black sesame seeds, ebiko and fried shallots with mich'sology sauce (mayo lime).

The long utensils look very elegant but it was a bit clumsy to eat with.

This meal was refreshing. It felt light and yet very satisfying. The coffee was all right, not premium but it will do.

So now I have two places to frequent for healthier meals, the other one being Theori Food (still my favorite) which is somewhere behind this one.

And oh, I got me a discount voucher and a loyalty card too.

I will be back. That's for sure. I thought I would haul my partner along on my next visit to utilize the discount voucher. But guess what? He visited one evening and I'm afraid he was not thrilled. "Not good lah" he told me. Say whaaaatttt????

Haiz.... So. I went back on my own.

This time I had salmon and shrimp with a bunch of other stuff with the sesame dressing and hot spicy sauce. Oh! Love the hot spicy sauce. It was really hot!

Perhaps I could bring my brother here instead.

  5. Maybe your partner found the place too girly and feminine (as some men will). I think they went overboard with the pink and the heart-shaped chairs...wakakakaka! ;D If not for the first pic, I would have guessed this is a dessert place...and who loves desserts...ladies...and maybe couples (bfs who want to 'feed' their gfs)...hihihi! ;)

    1. Perhaps hah..hah... Very girly and maybe men feel uncomfortable there. They will only tolerate if it's a first date or early days of courting hah..hah...

  6. Aspiring to be Michelin-starred? It sure looks like a girly place but you can be sure there will not be any lizards - they can't stand pink!

  8. Hahahaha, definitely not a place that I can bring my spouse to. My lunch group is not into healthy meals like this so I don't think that I will get to visit this place until I get a chance to eat lunch on my own. Thanks for sharing the delicious bowls via your photos. If you eat here daily you will reach and maintain your target weight.

    1. LOL! I hope that there are more people who like this sort of food or else it will be hard for this cafe to survive.
