Hibiscus is Nyum Nyum Nyum

Says a green six legged little creature. One morning I noticed a particularly deep pink Bunga Raya had bloomed. It's usually pale pink and not so pink pink. And then I noticed the petals were jagged like something had been munching on it.

Did you see that? The perpetrator. No? Look closer.

See it?

Grrrr!!!!!! No wonder some of my flower buds had that ragged munched on look.

So I promptly had this naughty fella relocated far far away....

Caaakkkkk.....Do I look a bit like Deadpool?

  2. I have one hibiscus plant, got the cuttings from my girl's school in the jungle. The blooms are so huge, as big as a plate!!! Problem is it will bloom one or two at a time, but yesterday, there were four. So happy, so very nice - blood red with white streaks.

  3. Wow! Your photography skills is so good that it took me awhile to spot that green alien. I salute our mother nature's ability to camouflage the insects and animals to match their background plants. That allows them to be safe while munching their food. We should also 'safely' dress up to match the food we munch like fried rice or curry mee!!

Your flower is really pretty. Did you use your partner's fertilizer to water the plants? Muahahaha

  5. I definitely did not spot the perpetrator who is so clever at camouflaging itself against the green leaves. I think the leaves are more nyum nyum than the pink hisbicus to the creepy green fella as I see a lot more jagged edges and holes in the leaves....caaakkkakakaka! :D
