Ungrateful Children

I don't understand cat behavior. They are quite fickle creatures and my partner says that they are not consistent, unlike dogs.

When I bought a cat bed for Girl, she simply refused to go anywhere near it. Even up to today. Then I bought another thinking that she might like it better than the first one. Nope, again she is terrified of it. I tried putting her on the cat bed and she jumped out of it as if she kena electric shock. Haiz!

See that? Even Belle Belle avoided the cat beds (initially) although she was quite comfy with that woolly one when she first came  stay with me.

The reason I put those two cat beds on the sofa was to prevent the two girls (since they avoid the cat beds) from jumping on the sofa. Obviously it didn't work with Belle Belle.

Then one fine day.

Aiks!

Good Belle Belle!

And she was like, hmmmphhh!!! when I pointed my phone at her.

Again, that hmmmphhh!!! look.

There you go. Finally. At least one cat bed is being used.

This one will only lay on the rubber mat. She won't even go near those cat blankets.

That's how it is with my girls. When I buy something for them, I am the one who is excited about it. They are like, meh.

  2. Biasalah. Mommy is excited and spend on her girls. But I wonder why they were not interested in the bed. I guess they rather sleep elsewhere than in a fixed feature.

    1. Sometimes they even prefer to sleep on the floor under the chair. I should stop wasting my money. LOL!

  3. the bed is too warm for them? or the wool has some weird unfamiliar smell (like those new clothes smell) that she dislike? sometimes i dislike new bed sheet too coz i found the cloth too hard and heaty/not airy (coz it's new) and has terrible smell...LOL!

  4. Oh goodness, your babies certainly have some attitude in their expression. I am smiling at the photo of the cat not on, but in between, the two beds.

  5. Your girls are like most kids these days. They don't fancy what the adults choose for them. At least Belle seems to be enjoying one of the beds. Hopefully one day Girl will follow and take the other bed. So cute initially Belle chose to sleep in between the beds.

  6. Thank you for all the photos of Belle Belle and Girl. I enjoyed looking at them. Thank you mommy for the beds but I think Girl doesn't like the smell of them because the texture looks cosy to me but maybe also not to Girl.

  7. Well, dogs are definitely more fun than cats as they are playful and would get excited to greet the masters. Cats are quite snobbish and have this fickle mindedness even when comes to food. Their tastes could change like the weather. I still don't know why my sister has been keeping cats all her life! Hahahaha

    1. Even though I love cats, I agree with you that dogs are more responsive and they consistently show that they love you. And you can feed them almost anything, they wallop! Anyway, cats are easier to look after and require less attention.
