Ma/Ah Ma, we got nothing to do.
They were hanging out on top of daddy's/Ah Kong's car.
Daddy/Ah Kong always complains about the paw and skid marks on his car heh...heh....
But they love it up there.
Poodie was getting some TLC from her mama.
Ah Boi was nowhere to be seen. That girl loves to go to neighbor's house.
Yesterday, the first day of Hari Raya, I was busy replenishing my supply of live microbes.
I made Sauerkraut using one big ass Beijing cabbage and carrots.
I also made Kimchi. Nowadays I keep it simple - just napa cabbage and carrots. I don't bother with daikon, spring onions and chives.
I packed the kimchi very tightly into the bottles with a good head space.
But this morning, due to the build up of gas from the fermentation, the veggies/juices rose up until almost the top.
So I simply pushed it all back down.
Meanwhile the sauerkraut will remain outside a bit longer. The juices did rise and leaked out from the bottle. So I simply pushed them back down.
These should last me a little while.
My auntie is back in NZ and she shared this photo of her bountiful harvest of tomatoes and chilies.
This was my dessert (kefir) on Sunday at 6:30pm. So I closed my eating window and did not eat anything at all yesterday (Monday). As of the time of writing, I am 36 hours fasted. I will break my fast later today.
Meanwhile it is not too late to wish my Muslim friends and readers Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and to rest of you enjoy your holiday!
Yay 💪to your 36 hours fasting 💪👍👍

Thank you for letting me know that halla holla has opened at midvalley already.
Yesterday I went to starling mall and ate 😋 pastries at Damansara Jaya halla holla so now later I can compare with halla holla in midvalley mall 😁
Ah, can sell a bottle of your kimchi or sauerkraut? Looks so appetising 🤤
Ah! Good that you ate at Halla Holla DJ. Hope to see your review on the Mid Valley outlet.
DeleteAfter 4 days of carbs days, you fasted, good job! I always love seeing updates and photos of your fur kids, they make me happy! Looks like you are busy with your homemade kimchi and sauerkraut during the raya holiday. I went Changi Airport to chill during the long weekends. Loving the vibes there.
ReplyDeleteWell, it wasn't 4 consecutive days of carbs LOL! I went to Changi airport only once but that was before it was renovated. Quite nice that you can chill out at the airport.
DeleteNow that Poodie is all grown up, she and her mama look like sisters! ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes I even confuse between the two! LOL!
DeleteWow to your 36 hours fasting!
ReplyDeleteThank you hee..hee...
