Goclean+

Last Saturday I was reading the news on The Star online when I came across this article about healthy food deliveries. Since links were provided, I clicked and the site that had the most visually appealing food was GOClean.

You can either sign up for their subscription plan or place orders as and when you wish from Mondays to Fridays. They offer quite good choices with five dishes per day and the menu changes daily. So I made a mental note to check them out one of these days.

Then Sunday, I was looking for another eatery on GrabFood when I found Goclean+. Now, I don't know if this is the same as GOClean. The food on the menu do not look anything like the ones on GOClean's site but what they offer is similar ie healthy eating. Maybe this is their mirror platform to cater for third party deliveries.

Of course, I cross checked to ShopeeFood (hee..hee..hee...) because I would be able to use discount vouchers. Lo and behold, yes, they were also on ShopeeFood! But alas .... when I was ready to order, the restaurant was closed. Haiz....

So I tried my luck on GrabFood and they were available. Funny, eh? Since I did not want to wait, I placed an order for the Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl.

I used my Grab reward points to get RM9.00 off and at the same time I also got RM3.00 off delivery from my GrabUnlimited subscription (total paid RM16.10).

I did not request for cutlery but apparently it comes with the packaging. Maybe I could put in a note to exclude the cutlery (even though it is charged with the packaging).

There is brown rice at the bottom and the ingredients on top are tobiko (fish roe), edamame, cherry tomatoes, seaweed, Teriyaki chicken, roasted almonds, lettuce, red onion and Teriyaki sauce.

I don't like eating from the small packaging, so I transferred the contents into my container (because I had some salad leaves in there). Then I poured the Teriyaki sauce on the chicken. The sauce tasted different from the ones I have had at restaurants and I found it tad salty for me.

Overall I enjoyed this meal. The roasted almonds were a welcome addition as they provided crunch and a very pleasant nuttiness. Portion size was also just right.

Belle Belle was happily resting beside her old (vacant) apartment. And then ..........

Adoi. This is the first time she is doing this.

Then somebody else came over. 

I just ignored them.

I am glad I found Goclean+ and I believe there will be future orders.
