Covid-19 MCO : Day #3 (Pasta Salad)

It's Friday and all you happening people are like arrrghhh!!!! cannot go out to chill out with friends. Me? Date nite will have to be at home lah with me cooking heh...heh...

So. Since got nothing better to do, I made bone broth. With plenty of time on my hands, I blanched the bones first, something that I never bothered to do.

A lot of scum and impurities came out. After about 20 minutes, I removed the bones and rinsed them thoroughly. Then into the slow cooker they went.

Followed by the aromatics.

And then water.

Then turn on the cooker and leave it on overnight.

Then I went to check on my cat.

She has been very playful.

In fact early this morning, she decided to hijack my exercise mat. She has never done that before.

Oi! Wanna do yoga kah?

Eh, don't play with Mommy's timer. Afterwards spoiled!

As usual, after a while she got bored.

And fell asleep. I had a good excuse not to exercise.

So what to eat? Let me show you what's in my pantry.

See, I told you I am a hoarder. I have loads of pasta.

There. Got some more. I bought these because I wanted the container. All this happened way before the Covid-19 induced panic buying. Just as well.

So this was what I ate.

Kale and pasta salad with sausages and bacon. I am laying off Grabfood for the next few days as I am sure food delivery service is swamped due to the ban on dining in at restaurants. Since I can cook, I shall not be part of the statistics that jammed up the delivery services.

I'll be cooking for the rest of the week and who knows I might find time to bake too. Whatever it is, this is a good Friday.

  5. Ah, I see Ah Girl has learned those cute poses that melt our hearts (just like my Cookie). The pics of her on the mat looks like she has put on a bit of weight...must be due to the RMO of staying in too much...heehee! ;) Perhaps she needs to join you in doing some yoga exercise...hahaha! :D I've been cooking this whole week as well...and I reckon will do so next week too.
