Sick At Home. Ehek...Ehek...

I got the flu. No, not the deadly one, but the usual kind. So I stayed home.

When I did go to work I put on a mask. These days you cannot cough or sneeze in public without people staring at you like you are the carrier of the black death. Hence this look :

I sure looked the part. I restricted my movement and brought (simple) food from home so as not to expose other people to my germs.

When I did leave the office, it was just a quick trip to the pharmacy for supplies or the supermarket for groceries. I bumped into this leng chai and he was fast asleep.

I sure was glad to see him again.

My partner made me eat pineapples because he said it is good for me. Luckily I like pineapples. I did not do any cooking as I was just not in the mood.

For meals, I had simple stuff like sandwiches and overnight oats. But one day I snapped. Must. Eat. Delicious. Food.

Cannot tahan.

Chicken biryani from Macha & Co. via Grabfood. This happened last weekend. I know this is not sick people food. No, I will not eat porridge. It will make me sicker. hah..hah...

These days I can't eat in peace when my cat is around. Whatever I am eating, she will come around and kepoh2. Want to see what I am eating and try to get some. No, Girl. You cannot eat nasi biryani.

I'm glad I have my cat to keep me company when I am at home. She sure brightens my day.

Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe. I will get more rest and hope for a full recovery so that I can eat this :

Wahahahaha!!!

    1. That mat was just outside the entrance of an office of the ground floor. I wonder where this cat lives.

  5. Take a good rest to get fully well. If Tom Hanks and wife can get it, anyone can get it so you did well to stay home to prevent passing what you have to other people. one could have it with very mild symptoms.

  6. I guessed that much since you've been 'absent' on your blog the past week. Take care, drink lots of fluids and get well soon. You're right...coughing and sneezing in public get looked upon these days as if you're the carrier of the plague, so best to stay indoors if unwell. It's so nice, isn't it, to have a pet around to accompany you...which make the days better.

Champion-lah you...can eat nasi biryani when you're unwell! :D When I'm sick, I only want porridge as my tastebuds will be dead! Cookie is the same...he'll always disturb me when I'm eating especially when I'm having fried chicken or chicken rice (his favourite human food). If I know it's something he doesn't eat (like fruits for example or even spicy chicken), I'll shove it, err I mean bring it near to his nose coz once they sniff something they don't eat, they'll walk away and won't bother you again. Ahh, I see Ah Girl is getting better at posing! ^_~ P/S: I like that 'doctored' selfie of yours...I might just recognise you if I bump into you...*evil laughter*! ;D

    1. I am almost recovered now, thanks. No more coughing and sneezing, just feeling a little hazy but I am sure that will pass in a few days.

Yeah lah, even when sick, I can eat! hah..hah... I do that too with my cat. Some foods that she can't eat, I will let her smell and she will naturally retreat hee..hee.. Since you hardly come to Uptown, I think I will be safe from being recognized hah..hah...

  8. Adoi! Not very healthy food you have there! Pineapples? Ya, I hear it is good for a flu/cough. Stay away from that feline! The fur is bad for you, respiratory problems!

  9. Nowadays people are very sensitive to people who sneeze or cough around them. So I carry with me some plain water and some throat candy to keep my throat moist to avoid irritation. Businesses everywhere is down due to less people moving around or eating out.

    1. I also do the same - carry some sweets with me to soothe my throat. The supermarkets that I visit were so crowded yesterday and today.

  10. Now whenever you cough or sneeze, it is a big deal and you will get stare from others. Haha.

When I am sick, I usually craving for those spicy or fried food. Lol.

Get well soon. So you can eat whatever you want.

  11. Take care and speedy recovery!

I like pineapples too. It's my go to fruit whenever I have bruises or swelling as it has anti-inflammatory properties.

  12. I just reported back to office today after half a week of the office going through "deep cleaning". There was a mask wearing bloke coughing intermittently and we just scolded him into going home. :/
