Addicted

After having my first taste of Champ's Chee Yok Fun, I had to have it again. Talk about addiction.

This time I decided to have the dry version with egg. I had no idea what the dry version is like, I thought that the noodles would simply be tossed with the meat and veggies like dry style wanton mee hah..hah...

But no, it's not like that at all.

Oh I see..... the noodles are tossed with some sauce and served separately with a bowl of the soup.

The noodles were very tasty with generous sprinkling of chee yau char

The soup was as good as before. I am in love. Head over heels.

As usual. Good to the last drop.

And when I showed this photo to my brother, he simply had to try it for himself.

So on the day that I had Lei Cha, he had his first taste of the Chee Yok Fun with egg.

He enjoyed it a lot too. He also got us a Char Koay Teow to share.

I thought this Char Koay Teow was adequately decent and you get cockles too.

That was a really good meal and yeah, Champ's has made me a fan.

  1. From the photos, I can see why you are in love with the soup because it looks so thick and rich with porky goodness. I think I will go try the char kway teow the next time I eat at this food court. Thanks for this recommendation.

    1. You got that right. Now the pork noodles at Annie-1 pale in comparison. By the way, Dave's Deli has just opened.

  6. Wah!! Wah!! Wah!! Your brother had such a big bowl of porky noodles and still ordered CKT to share. I could barely finish that bowl at Champs and to lure my wife to help a bit. Annie-1 is better la.

  9. I'm so surprised to hear that you have not had the dry version of chee yuk fun before...hihihi! ;) Eating the pork noodles soup separately brings out the true taste of the soup without the noodles getting into the way of the taste. Though I would love that, I love the soup version too much and usually never order the dry version unless they have yee mee. What noodles did you have? The kway teow here looks very thick. I have to hand it to you...you have this knack of drinking all the soup when it's good. I don't do that even if it's good...haha! ;D

    1. I didn't even know that there is a dry version until I saw it on the menu hah..hah... I had kway teow, my favorite. It's always koay teow for me when it comes to soup. Yup, when the soup is good, I clean the bowl!

  13. I always love dry noodles, be it cee yoke fun or wonton mee, as it is easier to eat, without the hot soup :P I'm surprise to hear that you have not had the dry version of chee yoke fun before :P
